CR in 'Best of 2006' critic listings

I just seen Garth Franklins site darkhorizons.com has it in at #4, anyone else see critics tapping it as a top 10 favorite on their sites?

Not a fan of the guy (i think he's a pretentious A'hole IMO and made me decide to turn away from a favorite site) but he has CR in his top 15. At 15.

For '06 at Rotten Tomatoes Casino Royale is the best reviewed wide-release of the year... I haven't read too many 'top' lists yet for 2006 but I would venture that overall its the best reviewed (not just at RT)- the other contenders would be Departed, Supes Returns, and Borat, and CR has them beat when I visit most sites... was glad to see it ranked #2 in Comingsoon.net's 2006 favorites poll.

My personal list would have a 3-way-tie with Departed, Casino Royale, and Supes for wide releases.

Whoa.. and I thought I disagreed a lot with some of Dark Horizon's choices. Agree with you about the reviewer...

Man.. I wish Pan's Labyrinth would go into wide release already- atleast we get Children of Men on Friday.

CR easily falls in the top 3 movies of the year. Hell, there weren't even upto 10 good moies in '06.

Casino Royale at number 18- Departed at 3, Pan's Labyrinth at 4, Children of Men at 11, Volver at 13, Dreamgirls at 15, just to give you an idea with the Oscar contenders.

IGN.com has there 2006 IGN awards.. for movies, Casino Royale won 3 and was nominated for a few more
