Yeah, I agree with the last few posts.
The characters
(and the show) on paper are exciting but as soon as I watch an episode, I find myself systematically zoning out at some point...
I'm really tempted to say that you can tell the series was written quickly...
The characters, so far, have backstories and “personalities” but it just feels too gratuitous. Weasel, yeah he's a good guy actually, GI Robot, he sees nazis everywhere, Frankenstein's creature, he's this big monster who's actually a bit dumb
à la Drax/King Shark, etc.
And then, a big fight scene.
I don't know, I've got nothing against formulas, but here, behind the visuals which I personally like in the end, the project seems to me to be rather meagre at its core.
Even if sold as something light in spirit, I think the series can't get rid of the context in which it's released in, whether in terms of genre or the recent filmography of its creator.
But hey, I'm still watching it, so...
