Hungary: I purchased my ticket two weeks in advance, but as it turns out there was no need. When I arrived 30 minutes before the screening (opening day!), there were 322 empty seats still. In the end it was about 1/3 full.
Hungarian audiences usually don't cheer so no surprises there, but what I did notice was DEAD silence whenever the Joker took (over) the screen. I bought some snacks to eat, didn't touch them at all, the movie just flew by despite the lenght. In the end people filed out in a trance-like state, not as usual with cheerful conversation. Dark Knight indeed.
