fair point. I’m not saying cyberpunk 2077 shouldn’t mention it but it would have been great to see more condemnation during the umbrella protests

I remember thinking "I'm not sure they can do Witcher 2,only with open world" and here we are. I won't be skeptical about CDPR's ambition. If they said it's there, then it's there.

It was going to be a birthday gift for me damn it! If it's delayed yet again to ensure extra polishing and proper bug testing though then it's good. Plus it sure makes for an amazing launch title for both consoles

Yeah I can see a Game Pass deal.

Or like some suggested: MS has acquired CDPR and the game will now be a (timed) exclusive for XSX and PC.

It's somewhat happened before with The Witcher 2, when it was ported only to Xbox (not sure it was because of exclusivity deal). But I doubt CDPR will go this way with CP77. It seems it's just a promo deal and at max they convinced to delay the game a bit to align it with the release of the next gen console.

It would be more to avoid the game being a Black Friday game. Close enough they don't have to reduce the price. Still, I don't think that is the reason.

By the way the lack of third person gameplay really soured me on this one.

The world, where customizing your looks is big deal, doesn't have a 3rd person mode. It was much less important in Deus Ex or System Shock, but now we have another cyberpunk franchise and it's also first person. Feels like a missed opportunity.

I think part of the reason with Witcher 2 was it being harder to port to PS3.
