Exactly. Like I said before, being a Wolverine fan is like pulling for Bill Gates to make more money.
So..your basically saying it's wrong to be a Wolverine fan? That's what Im seeing in that post and if that's what you're getting at then the majority of the X-Men consumers are wrong I guess..

Its far from the truth my friend ;)

Let's see...Wolverine always wins, every woman wants him, He's always portrayed as being more experienced than other characters, better in battle, unstoppable...etc. He's a character who is always a 100% badass who no one can beat. Even characters like Punisher have been humiliated by Wolverine. That's why pulling for him is like pulling for Bill Gates to make money or like pulling for Brad Pitt to get the girl. It's like pulling for the winning team in a replay on classic sports. Wolverine never gets screwed over or humiliated in stories. He's a lock to be written as a winner.

Well I suppose its better to be a winner than a looser, so I'm glad Wolverine wins a lot of his fights. And I still say he's no Bill Gates :)
This is my personal opinion.

It's absolutely the truth.

I'll see it if it's Wolverine vs Chuck Norris.

I'd rather not walk out side and see my neighbor kick a dog and scream "F**king Fox!" as opposed to letting it out here.

I'm so doing that tomorrow.

No, but what I'm saying is that it's easy to be a Wolverine fan. You don't ever have to see the character get humiliated. Cheering for Wolverine is like cheering for Donald Trump to win the lottery.

Read ennis' punisher. I forgot what issue it was but it showed Frank kicking Logan's ass.

Cyclops being killed off so soon in the movie is an atrocity to every X-fan. In my opinion he IS the X-men. He was Xaviers first student, and the person who should have taken his place if anything happened. If Ratner was such a huge "fan" of the X-men, there is no way he would destroy the second most important character in the Dark Phoenix storyline. I think I will enjoy X3, but I will never be satisfied with the way they portrayed Cyclops.

I bet Wolverine came up looking superior in the end, however.

Was that the storyline where the muscle books fell out of the gym bag at the end?

Edit: that was the steamroller story, right? Then the muscle mag story that basically said Castle was gay was the follow up. So in that story, Wolverine gets ran over with a steamroller-AND LIVES!!!!! Then in the follow-up he beats Punisher and humiliates him. Typical Wolverine.

It's the storyline where Frank shoots Logan both in the face and nuts:unishr:

I see where your coming from. I wish all I was worrying about was the shade of red they used in Cyclops's glasses, but instead, I don't even get to see the character have any development at all.

The truth is, I like Wolverine too. I just don't like his over exposure. I think that all of the X-men have their place and their importance to the team. Its just that X1 messed up the balance, and x2 and now X3 have just totally made it go out of wack.

But ultimately Wolverine is made to look superior.

He looked like a joke. Especially when the midgets with chainsaws arrived (yes, midgets were involved).:)

Oh and just so ya know, it was Wolvie that KILLED the cycloptic dick in AOA!

No it wasn't, Havok killed Cyclops and Jean in AoA and then Wolverine came and gutted Havok for killing Jean. In the end, Jean chose Cyclops, except when she rose and became phoenix in AoA continuing. I know things :)

Surviving being ran over with a steamroller is ridiculous. And people ***** about Superman being too powerful  .

Chill dude.. the whole point of the comic is to show what a joke logan has become with his healing factor.

Didn't you know?...Wolverine is the Superman and Batman of the Marvel Universe. Nothing can kill him, no one's a better fighter, and he has a clone considered a major powerhouse of their junior superhero team. The only problem is that there just aren't enough comics to contain all of awsomely cool stuff they're able to do each month.

Man, I've got to stop typing for tonight...I've managed to dog on some of my favorite characters all because of other people not knowing the meaning of "over-exposure".
...I remember when Wolverine was just a kick-butt brawler...

At least they are trying to fix his over-exposure by limiting him to one x-team (astonishing). the problem I have with wolverine is that he is too much of everything. He suppose to be this brawler who skillfull in martial arts who is a samurai who is a cowboy who is a secret agent and the list goes on and on..

That's true about the one book, but i really doubt that will last when the moive comes out. Marvel wants money...and new readers will want to know why the "star" isn't in the X-Men book they just bought.

I'm hoping that the origin series will help to better characterize Wolverine. Some writers want to write about the wild Wolverine, some want to write about the well trained martial artist...maybe this story can form Wolverine into a more consistant character type.
My biggest problem hopping on board with the Wolverine fan wagon is that i like a character who actually is risking his life to save the day, not risking a couple of minutes to heal himself after crashing a plane and having it explode when it hits the ground.

He's portrayed as a better martial artist than Iron Fist.
A better Samurai than Silver Samurai.
A better spy than Nick Fury.

It's sickening.
