Short attention span?
Not at all, its just unlike you others and myself don't have the luxury of sitting around writing novel sized rants about why a film based of a comic book team shouldn't stay focus on one single character.

Clever, isn't it? Imagine how large my post count would be if I didn't do that...

Not really. You just come off as long winded now, heaven forbid you make these post any longer because apparently not to many people really want to read them.

I can absolutely remain objective and listen to reason. But you have given me no reason. Hammering at me with "this is my opinion" and ignoring any logic I provide and even refusing to discuss said logic is not "reason".
You ignored what everyone else had to say, all because you didn't agree with their view. By your statements you are not objective, neither do you listen to reason, which makes this discussion even more pointless.

No, I wanted someone to tell me who is a more relevant and complex character in the X-Men universe.

Oh, now you want someone to tell you who is more of a relevant and complex hero of the X-Men Universe! So you believe it to be Wolverine huh? Are you serious? The film is called X-Men, if none of the others are relevant then Fox would have simply called it Wolverine! And to say he is the most complex and relevant hero in X-Men is deluded.

Well then, if it's clear as day, it shouldn't be hard for you to provide proof then, should it? And guess what? I have never said a thing about Wolverine NOT being overrated. In fact, I feel he often is. You just make assumptions about how I feel. Classic.

No you inferred that Wolverine was not overrated, you then wanted proof, but since you now claim you said something to the contrary an NOW say he is often overrated, then why do I need proof? I can only go by what you give me, but it seems as if you are playing games now. Classic.

That is why you fail. You refuse to read it, and then make assumptions about it's content.

Failed in what? Finding out how deluded you are. Its not about failing however you appear to be on some ego trip as if you are making a point and casting your opinion on as facts. Now you claim I make assumptions and refuse to read your endless rants when the majority of it is sarcasm and arrogance.

uh oh....Azrael apparently does not want to play GuardBall anymore

But a few sarcastic comments from guard insulting az's intelligence will pull him right back in....

If you haven't notice, I'm pretty new here, so pardon me if I don't know
exactly what the hell Guardball is, which I'm assuming its this discussion
with Guard.

Also its not my intelligence in question, and I doubt it will pull me in, however that would no doubt be the highlight of your evening eh?

i'm not insulting your intelligence.

Guardball is basically an argument with guard.v its explained in that picture thingy a few posts up, actually.

Ha! He already earned another point trying to say he won’t continue the discussion, meaning that the scores stand:
Guard-28
Kuro-16
Azrael-6

Well I didn't say you did, my comment was actually for anyone that
thinks I am going to play Guardball because of an insult.

I actually read what Guardball was, which is pretty hilarious. Did it
originate here? I have no doubt its because of The Guard. Well in that
case I guess I'm hanging up the jersey, I hate writing and responding to long post especially if something is not resolved.

it mainly relates to guard, but it can refer to anyone who feels the need to type long ass posts...

Guard:

Enjoy the movie. But most of us Cyclops fans are still disgusted by what FOX has done and weren't swayed by any excuses. Maybe one day Cyke will have his day on the big screen. But as far as I'm concerned, he had a pretty bad run in these movies.

I've played enough. Celebrate your "win". And you are also welcome to my ignore list.

jesus!..that alot of writing...!!

kurosawa why do you bother?

Guard took his ball and went home, putting me on his ignore list after I destroyed him in our last exchange. I would guess he's curled up clutching his Wolverine doll.

Read his posts. He's a huge Wolverine fan.

kurowasa man you seem to old to be "debateing" with others about things, he belives what he wants and you beleive what you want. I dun see why a debate is neccasary, its not like oyou both just gonna change you repective oponions.

He took his ball and went home after the last exchange anyway.

Ah, but it is so much more than the length. There are so many nuances.

And that, my freind, is how you truly win.

You haven't seen my four-page rant yet.

Not really. You just come off as long winded now, heaven forbid you make these post any longer because apparently not to many people really want to read them.

If you truly think I just come across as long winded, you clearly aren't reading these posts.

You ignored what everyone else had to say, all because you didn't agree with their view.

Actually, I went point by point and gave everyone's argument plenty of attention. Hardly the definition of ignoring an argument. And I pointed out that half the things you think we "disagree" on, we don't. You just assume we do.

By your statements you are not objective, neither do you listen to reason, which makes this discussion even more pointless.

Because "reason" equals "accept my argument at face value". Right.

Oh, now you want someone to tell you who is more of a relevant and complex hero of the X-Men Universe!

Yes. And stop repeating everything I say and turning it into a question.

So you believe it to be Wolverine huh?

No, but I want to see if you know who is. Since you all seem to think Wolverine isn't.

Are you serious? The film is called X-Men, if none of the others are relevant then Fox would have simply called it Wolverine! And to say he is the most complex and relevant hero in X-Men is deluded.

I didn't say he was. I asked for an example of who was more complex.

No you inferred that Wolverine was not overrated

When? Provide the reference, please.

you then wanted proof, but since you now claim you said something to the contrary an NOW say he is often overrated, then why do I need proof? I can only go by what you give me, but it seems as if you are playing games now. Classic.

I'm not playing games. I quite simply never said Wolverine was not overrated.

Failed in what?

Accurately interpreting my point of view.

Finding out how deluded you are. Its not about failing however you appear to be on some ego trip as if you are making a point and casting your opinion on as facts.

No, but at least I back my opinion up with logic.

Now you claim I make assumptions and refuse to read your endless rants when the majority of it is sarcasm and arrogance.

How is a debate based on logic "sarcasm" and "arrogance"? I'll give you, much of it IS sarcasm and arrogance, but not the actual ARGUMENT itself.

Hey. Technically, shouldn't I get points for a forfeit? Or, in this case, forfeits?

The love scene with Logan is not an act of love on Jean's part, it is an intentional (on the writer's part) act of cruel betrayal that establishes some of the evil behind Dark Phoenix.

The Guard said:

No. No points for forfeit. "Post Length" points are tallied when there is only one person left in the game, then the points are disregarded and the person still playing is the loser.

What if I choose to play myself? Or YOU!

BUM BUM BUMMM

Phenoix Joining the Brotherhood & killing Professor X & Cyclops are more then enough exambles that show how evil she is. The love triangle is not needed. But sadly this has been setted up since X1.

OK, I'm a little behind on all the talk so you'll have to excuse me if this has already been discussed.

From the reviews I've read from the people on this forum it seems we don't actually see Cyclops die on screen right? We hear some screaming and then it cuts to another scene? So we're taking Jean's word for it that she killed Cyclops? Jean...the crazy lady...we're believing her?! So she's not exactly a reliable source, in Magneto's words "Are you sure you saw what you saw?"

So I guess the writers are leaving it open so Cyke can pop up in X4 and be like, "She missed!!" Wooooh!

Wishful thinking.

ginny_weasley said:
Yeah I thought of that too....

If Cyke is dead, I guess that means deep down Jean didn't love him as much as Wolverine....

Or it means that she wasnt in control of her powers when she did in scott, but now has a greater measure of control over them and herself

Or it means that the executives wanted Cyclops out of the picture so they could give Catwoman all the screentime she wants.
