Drama Damon Lindelof Developing The Leftovers at HBO

This show has been awesome for me. I really can't explain why I like it so much I just do. I caught last weeks episode and last nights episode back to back on the DVR. The part that really stuck out to me last night was when Kevin was running and smoking a cig and the car pulled up and asked if he was ready. And then in the preview when he's talking to his dad (I think) and says "I'm not supposed to be here" really has me intrigued. Honestly really looking forward to next weeks episode and then seeing what they do in season 2. I really dig the slow burn but wouldn't complain if **** pops off and things get crazy.

It's going to be a long wait for next season with only one episode left to go. :(

I bet there are a lot of crazy redneck hunters from Pennsyltucky that would have loved last night's episode if they watched anything other than Duck Dynasty.

"YEAH, YUH SEE THAT! DEERS ARE DANGEROUS! THEY NEED TUH BE TAKEN OUT! SO DON'T YOU LIBRULS TRY 'N TAKE MUH GUNS AWAY! 'MURICA!"

Next weeks episode is called "The Prodigal Son Returns" which I can only assume refers to Tom returning to Mapleton with Christine and baby in tow. I'm excited to see how he interacts with Jill, Laurie and especially Nora, who is the only other central character that we have seen meet Wayne. That is if they even get that far or save it for Season 2. I have a feeling that a lot of next week is going to pick right up after Patti's suicide and the GR's master plan for Memorial Day.

I'm loving this show. There's Lost written all over it.

Oh man, i think i'm loving this show. It's filling that Lost emptiness that i have in my body ever since that series ended.

DAMON LINDELOF is a genius

This show is shaping up to be better than Lost. At least for me it is as I take the approach of not worrying about getting answers and just be in awe of the weekly dissection of human emotions.

Oops, make that 2 weeks. The wait is going to KILL me. :(

It's TWO weeks?!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Another brilliant episode last night. Loved seeing how they were prior to disappearance. I didn't even know that even unborn babies disappeared.

Was that Kevin's first time cheating or was he doing it before?

I think that was the first time. At least it seemed that way to me.

Man, imagine how easy it would be to cheat on your wife if your mistress just disappeared into thin air after you were done with her? Kevin is one lucky bastard.

They always skip Labor Day weekend. I hate it too.....

The theory out there is that the Rapture effected people that looked at people as regrets, such as Laurie's pregnancy and the woman Kevin cheated with.

Damn two weeks is a B. I never got into Lost and decided not to after I heard all the complaining about the ending. Really dig this show so far though

That bothers me. Just watch it and decide for yourself if it's good or not. The ride is spectacular, even if you don't enjoy the destination (I did, and many people did too).

I don't have enough free time to invest in a long series unless I know it is going to be worth my time. If it is a show I'm already invested in and have been watching (Dexter, Breaking Bad, Agents of SHIELD, etc.) than I am along for the ride no matter what. Maybe one day I will get around to watching it but not until I have lots of free time on my hands

It is going to be worth your time. You don't know me, but trust me. It's probably my favorite tv series ever. It has everything. It's so deep, so addicting, thrilling, innovative, just the best piece of fiction I've seen on the small screen.

Lost is probably a better experience to watch now that you can bang out an entire season in a few days. All the questions and waiting through 5 month gaps in between seasons is what drove people nuts and led them to be overly critical of the show. You can see a lot of the emotional punch in Lost like you do in The Leftovers.

So I'm a little behind on this show thanks to holidays but I just watched E08 and holy ****.

Like, holy ****.

That was definitely the best episode of the season - even though I've been saying that every week but the dialogue, acting, directing and plot were especially exceptional. Patti's suicide, her several monologues, Jill's friend admitting she had sex with Kevin, Kevin's amnesia issue, Jill going over to the Guilty Remnant. This show is so fantastic and I regret what I said a few weeks ago about it not building to anything because that episode took those worries and threw a boulder through them by significantly advancing the plot and getting me hyped for the next episode, which fortunately I can watch immediately.

God bless you Lindelof. :awesome:

I'm so excited for this finale to see if Lindelof does a something big for a cliffhanger. Lost was always great at those.
