Animation Dan Harmon's Rick and Morty

Hey we've got three seasons at least. Not bad IMHO.

Very true. We usually don't get THAT many with a show this good. It always goes over people's heads...well...the people that keep these things on the air at least.

I know alot of folks are complaining about the finale not feeling like a finale, but I've rewatched this season ALOT. It actually works really well when you take the season as a whole. In fact, just watch the opener and the finale back to back, and you'll see exactly what I mean.

Season 2 is my favorite, then season 3 and finally season 1.

Having said that, I love season 1.

It's too hard for me to pick a favorite. Adding the women to the writer's room this season was genius. This season showed such an improvement in regards to Summer and Beth. They actually became interesting in their own rights. Summer was awesome in Rickmancing the Stone, plus, I loved Joel McHale playing Hemorrhage in that episode. And finally getting a good solid look into Beth's psyche in the ABC's of Beth and less so in the Rickchurian Mortydate made her seen human for once. Season 1 is definitely my least favorite, but I still absolutely adore the season.

Don’t quote me on this because I’ve got to look up the quote myself, but I remember reading that they don’t announce renewals until the season ends, so they don’t start official work until the current season ends. Might be a different story if there are unfinished season 3 episodes though.

Edit: ok, it was from IMDB’s trivia, so take it with a grain of salt. “Unlike most animated shows, Rick and Morty's seasons aren't done simultaneously. Instead, the seasons are announced after they're finished and each season is usually separated by two years. This is unlike most shows whose seasons are separated by a few months.”

It's because re-runs of Family Guy, American Dad, Bob's Burgers, and King of the Hill consistently outperform most of their original shows. Not Rick and Morty, but most of the others.

Well, airing between 8PM and 11PM probably helps.

Idk...I don't think they'd have said anything about there being another season at the end of the episode if they didn't have it in the pipeline.

So apparently McDonald's didn't get in NEARLY enough szechuan sauce for their little one day promotion because they are ALREADY out, and fans are PISSED. HAHAHAHA!!! McDonald's either underestimated just how delicious that sauce really is, or they underestimated just how ****ing nuts Rick and Morty fans are. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say it's probably the latter. This is so amazing. All over some ****ing mcnugget sauce!!!! :D :funny:

Scalpers are probably selling the sauce packets for "measly" 500 bucks a pop on Ebay.

The McD that I went to was sold out by 1 pm

"I thought you said you drank?"

"Yeah, like, cool drinking...like, sexy drinking... Not this psycho trailer park ****!"

I'd rank the seasons as 1>3>2.

R&M's reddit page has been hilarious. Page upon page of nothing but Szechuan sauce posts.

I had a feeling that alot of people were gonna feel that way. I very much enjoyed it fir what it was, and it's actually a nice cap on the season when you compare it to the season opener. In that show Rick had forcefully taken over the role of patriarch. At the end, all that had changed, and in some ways, Rick got a little comeuppance. The direction they took their relationship with the President was really unexpected. "He treats us like Ghostbusters!" I assumed they were going to have a positive relationship, but not even the President can keep from getting on their nerves! It was GREAT to see Morty develop some backbone, and any excuse to have Keith David doing voicework on anything, I'm all for it. I know we're all disappointed that there was no resolution to the Evil Morty situation, and I'm super shocked they dealt with the Beth clone issue already. I thought they were gonna let that linger a bit longer. I will say that I think Mr. Poopy Butthole was telling us something about maybe having a big white beard next time we see him. I think we're gonna be seeing something around Christmas, even if it's just a Christmas special, and then we'll get some of those things we wanted to see in this finale. Maybe we'll find out that this Beth IS clone, and the real Beth returns. Idk, but on a side note, I'm honestly kinda disappointed that Beth and Jerry got back together. They had actually done some growth this season, but I'm afraid it was just wiped clean. They're gonna be right back to their hated ass selves because I think they'd rather be together and miserable then be alone. I've also developed a ton of Evil Morty theories after rewatching the entire show several times now. Who knows how long I'll be waiting on a resolution to that. Anyway...I enjoyed it, I think more than most of you did. Whenever y'all are up to discussing Evil Morty theories, let me know. :funny:

Please post your Evil Morty theories here. I'm always down to hear some more.

Your season rankings are the exact opposite of mine, lol.

Also I love how Rick and Morty theories are slowly taking over YouTube.

Oh mine is probably the most common one. If you know the one that most people subscribe to, then that's the one I agree with. I was just curious that if anyone had heard any real outlandish ones or anything. The one I think has zero merit at all is the theory that Rick and Morty are actually the same person. I did recently read an article where Roiland, Harmon, and Ridley discussed a secret they came up with in the first season, but they have zero intention of ever letting it cone to the light of day. But half way through the first season or so, reddit users actually put the secret together, but they won't confirm what the hell it is. I've been racking my brain on what that could be, but there's not really any point because they'll never tell us. That's why I LOVE/HATE this ****ing show!!!!! :p

Yeah I've been watching a bunch of not only that, but theories about this video game called Little Nightmares. Super cool, and there is so much in the game to theorize and discuss.

Well, I guess I'll cover the most popular Evil Morty theory in case someone in here hasn't heard it and they're interested.
The most popular theory is basically that Evil Morty is this Rick's ORIGINAL Morty. We know that Rick in dimension C-137 had been gone from his daughter's life for roughly 20 years, and Morty and Summer were essentially meeting Rick for the first time. Well, in Rick's memories, there are several instances where Rick remembers holding and playing with a baby Morty. Since Rick was gone for 20 years, and he never saw Morty as a baby, we know this isn't his current Morty that these memories are of. Also, in Birdperson's house, when they visit for his wedding to Tammy, there is a picture on the wall of Rick with a baby Morty. The current Morty even draws attention to it and asks Birdperson who the baby is. Now, we don't know what happened between Rick and Evil Morty, but it's rather obvious that Evil Morty is far more intelligent than a typical Morty. Maybe that's due to Rick tampering, and Evil Morty began challenging Rick's superiority. In fact, I can't remember the episode, but Rick tells Morty, "Don't get cocky. A cocky Morty can cause ALOT of problems." Morty asks like what, and Rick's response was something along the lines of, "It's complicated. I'll tell you when you're older." From all that it seems safe to assume that Rick abandoned Evil Morty for whatever reason, and now Evil Morty hates all Rick's, C-137 in particular which is why he singled him out for the Rick murders. Also when Evil Morty was controlling the "Evil Rick" he continually called C-137 a liar and a fake anytime he showed emotion or attachment to Morty from his memories claiming that, "If it's one thing people know, it's that Rick's don't give a crap about Mortys.
Phew...ok...I think that pretty much covers it. Any questions?! :funny:

And for the record, somebody BETTER wanna discuss these theories after typing all that **** out and using my brain to remember all those little instances. Sure...I could have copied and pasted it from another site, but for my SHH friends, I suffer...I SUFFER!!! :D

Kinda ironic that the Szechaun episode is on tonight.

This seems the most popular theory out there. It makes sense... And that is why I feel that they will swerve us big time in some way with the revelation.

You see that?

Rick and Morty fans have power.

That's what happens when you have the number one comedy of 2017.

But seriously, it's cool to see McDonalald's embrace a Rick and Morty meme like this. Especially knowing how subversive the show can be, lol.

This is probably the case. Certainly enough clues have been dropped that this is so; they can't be just continuity errors. I'm hoping this is not the case, though, as it would all be rather predictable. Remember how Doofus Rick was subtly implied to be behind Evil Rick, and then the rug was pulled out from under the viewers when it was revealed that Evil Morty was the true puppetmaster? I would love for something like that to happen, though I'm not expecting it.

That's entirely possible, and more than probable. The thing that tends to make me agree with you is they've admitted that they've discussed Evil Morty more than all the other shows combined. If it's a cut and dry theory, why would they need to discuss it in such detail? For now, I'm sticking with that simply because it's the only one that makes sense with the current evidence. I'm pretty sure you're right though, and they're gonna blow my mind with the actual reveal.
