Animation Dan Harmon's Rick and Morty

This is indeed the most morality upheaving season so far.

"God is a lie! We made him up for money." :funny:

Outside of the Mad Max episode, this season has been absolutely outstanding. I didn't think it could get that much better, but the show has been ridiculous this season.

Careful Ethan your s'more's burning.
Maybe my favorite Morty moment.

I had to watch "The Whirly Dirly Conspiracy" a second time yesterday. There was so much crazy going on I felt like I would miss something if I didn't.
Outside of Rickmancing the Stone, I had watched every episode 3 times. So damn good.

I was a casual fan of this show until recently. I had seen all of Season 1 and a few episodes of Season 2, but wasn't a die hard or anything. That all changed when I went to one of the Rickmobile stops in Arizona. Being around all those passionate fans and seeing all the fun merchandise struck a chord with me so I went home and binged ALL of the episodes to date. I'm a true believer now. It's so ****ing good.

I'm surprised how much of a fan of Summer I've become. I wouldn't have called that when I first started watching this.

Same. I like that they've made her a real genuine part of Rick and Morty's adventures. She didn't have much to do in Season 1.

I love how organically Summers part evolved in the show.

Also Summer isn't the typical teenage daughter stereotype.

Well she is except sometimes she'll suprise you.

Other times she's the only voice of reason.

I love how Morty has evolved too. That last Vindicators episode where he disarms the bomb and it's revealed he's done it way too many times was really great. Rick's adventures have left Morty kind of haggard deep down.

Yeah, exactly. At first I thought she was going to be a total buzzkill who only is there to antagonise Morty and that's it.

Not only was last night's episode the best of the season, it may have been the best of the entire series. It reminded me of season 3's premiere in that it packed a lot of story into a short runtime. I was ecstatic to see [blackout] the return of Evil Morty. I want to learn so much about him, where he comes from, and what he wants.[/blackout]

Man... pretty dark ass episode last night. I love how this show manages to juggle so many different tones and still be amazing.

Anyone notice every season has a dark ass episode.

Season 1 - Evil Morty (episode 10)
Season 2 - finale
Season 3 - Evil Morty (episode 7)

Actually season 1 also has the ending to Rick Potion 9.

All great episodes.

Well, I read an article in regards to Dan Harmon's personal life and how that's influencing this season. Apparently he and his wife are splitting after only a year of marriage, so I'd say the divorce subplot for the season is obvious, but they said Dan is taking it especially hard. Apparently there used to be a claymation of Harmon, his wife, their cat and dog all smiles at the end of the episodes, but now that claymation is simply Harmon alone with booze bottles all around him. I know he's only a portion of the credit/etc, but I'd say it's definitely seeping into R and M.

Dan Harmon was a tortured soul even before his wife pulled a "Tammy".

Hopefully he can pull through okay.

In Season 2, Episode 3 (Auto Erotic Assimilation) was much darker than the finale.

The last ep was so good in it showcased every aspect that makes the show so good but so strange.

I have to wonder how much Zootopia inspired this episode.

So much overlap.

I love the marketing fake out. Made us think we were going to Atlantis then BAM, switcheroo. This show is so rad.
