I think the script, plot and material (as well as premise) are all VERY good for this movie and so will Eva Green be.

So he'll do okay, but I still think he was miscast for the part though and that will show in the sequels.

I agree. I think what people really think is a good choice is the decision to return the series to its roots. Craig will be a decent choice in that he is going to be asked to play the character more as a tough guy, and for many fans that's enough.

But Clive Owen would've obviously been the best choice. He could've handled both the menacing and sophisticated aspects of Bond with ease. He also fits the traditional image people associate with James Bond, and was clearly the fan favorite.

Christian Bale would've also been a good choice, and one much closer to the Bond of the script. He also would've brought his own fanbase to the character- which notably includes the under-21 crowd. When you consider that EON claimed to be trying to attract a younger audience with this reboot idea, it doesn't make sense that they would cast someone who looks as old as Craig.

To be blunt, if either of these actors had been cast, no one would be upset that Craig was not.

i would vote yes if he had brown hair or black....

bond can't be blonde!

Hey at least he has some hair, rather than Connery when he had to wear a toupe in the later bond flicks.

Absolutely. He has the same rugged appeal Connery had, he has the reserved charisma, and he has the perfect upper class accent.
Dead on about his voice.... it's amazing how hearing him talk makes him seem so much more suave.

BOND CAN'T BE A ****ING BLONDE!!!!!!!!!!!

It's been done before...

Craig's doesn't look like it will be any fairer than Moore's was...

Maxwinner, stop being one of those whiny crybabies. Everyone's over the hair colour thing now, and if you aren't then that's sad. Your loss if you won't go see the movie because of it.

How hard would it have been for him to Change is Hair Color. Everyone keeps saying that Roger Moore also had Light Hair. He sucked so I don't know how this that is a defense.

Personal opinion then. Craig's hair is Blond and the movie is being filmed. Of course I would have liked it to be dyed but they didn't feel the need to. Can't do much about it now

To all those who complain about Daniel Craig being blonde: do you have any idea how homosexual you sound sometimes? Granted, I'm sure many of the people who complain about the hair are women, but still, for those of you who are men, quit looking at Craig with metrosexual eyes and realize this: the guy is gonna be one badass James Bond. You know why it's a good thing Brosnan's gone? He was fierce at first, and he really tried to impress everyone in "GoldenEye", and he succeeded. But in the last one or two, he was too comfortable in the role. It's like playing James Bond was his retirement fund.

Daniel Craig is more determined to win people over than Brosnan ever was, and to me that merits respect.

I gotta say, you speak some truth there.

What do you mean comfortable? He found his groove and he was good with it.

The problem wasn't Brosnan, who really is MY fave, it was the scripts and the muscial chairs played by directors.

Moore did not have blonde hair....

he had friggin brown hair...

From wikipedia:
Roger Moore also sported a lighter sandy coloured hair throughout many of his films, however, he is not considered blond.

Ooh, sorry! Got you mixed up with someone else that was making Blonde hair comments.

I think Craig will do a great job as Bond, even his co stars and close friends (including Nicole Kidman) think so.

That would be me

And yes Roger Moore Sucked.

I'm not saying Craig will suck because he has Blond Hair. All i'm saying is Eon and Sony should have made him change his color for the role.

oh. yes. he. is. He absolutely KILLED it in Layer Cake and he's got the right 'tude and physique for the role. This might be the best Bond yet...

The ending of Layer Cake shocked me. Not many things do that to me but I generally felt disturbed. I guess I actually got attached to his character, which is a good thing.
