Please spoiler tag it! I keep assuming that either every thread is the spoiler's thread or everyone has read the spoilers. Sorry! Will refrain from posting such things.

The track is okay. I like the Batman 89 reference around 1:40.

I'm finding it hard to believe this is THE theme but we'll see. I'm not convinced that Zimmer and XL would have turned this into some theme for the ages. Then again I'm not a big fan of Beautiful Lie like y'all.

Well, some of us have the willpower to not read the spoilers. :funny:

Are we missing Junkie XL and Zimmer yet?!
From "First Flight", "What Are You Going To Do When...", "Beautiful Lie", "Day of the Dead", "Is She With You" to this... Yeah, definitely.

So there's a 'Bruce & Diana' track in JL. :D :D

The WonderBat ship alive folks. Cool Beans.

You can run, but you can't hide.

Too soon to judge since only one track (well two, but only to those who got Apple subscriptions) has been released.

I'm a huge Elfman fan when he's in full Elfman mode. This felt like a compromise to stick to the tone Zimmer and Junkie XL set in place. Didn't Whedon once say that he's not a fan of big musical themes? I hope he didn't neuter Danny too much.

Listened to the "Heroes" track. Not bad....but not very good either. Want to listen to that new track that has JW's theme in it, that one sounds better.

Yeah, it's not that Elfman couldn't write anything better than this. It's Zimmer's and Junkie's fault he had to compose this track like this. :whatever:

When did I say it's their fault? I'm just describing what I hear.

He is sticking to John Williams as well. Even to his old self.

Friends and Foes is linked in the general JL thread. Definitely has more of Elfman's qualities in it.

After like 4 listens I actually love the track. I was a big Junkie fan and I *****ed and moaned when he left but I'm digging this sound. This sounds like old school Elfman with the heavy, semi-menacing bassline.

So far so good to me.

Friends and Foes is fantastic. Sounds exactly like his Batman and Spiderman style.

"That Williams reference was cool. OOOH **** he brings it back at 2:27"

Omg can't believe I missed that one. Ya know, hearing that theme in there makes me kinda think "**** it, I want them to just use that JW theme full on". :woot:

And the ******** YouTube commenters have poured in, people.

Friends and Foes is hnnnnnng.

It is more interesting for sure. Definitely sounds like Elfman, even to the extent one might accuse him of auto-plagiarism, taking from '89 Batman theme and all... it kinda feels like it belongs to the adventure flicks of the 1980's, but I kinda like it. I wonder how will it work in the film itself, though...

Also, (and I know I'm going to get stoned by a bunch of geeks now :oldrazz:), I can't recall how John Williams' theme sounds like, so I can't figure out which part of this track borrows from it.
