Justice League Danny Elfman Scoring Justice League - Part 1

"Hero's Theme" is pretty good. Think is starts off kind of okay, but picks up toward the end. "Friends and Foes" is just an okay track, but the use of John William's Superman theme works really well, and it still gives me chills hearing it. Very nice to hear it again.

I like what I'm hearing so far, we'll see how the whole things ends up sounding. One thing I like is the very classic approach. I think the end of "Hero's Theme" has a very grand and epic feel to it.

It is more interesting for sure. Definitely sounds like Elfman, even to the extent one might accuse him of auto-plagiarism, taking from '89 Batman theme and all... it kinda feels like it belongs to the adventure flicks of the 1980's, but I kinda like it. I wonder how will it work in the film itself, though...

Also, (and I know I'm going to get stoned by a bunch of geeks now :oldrazz:), I can't recall how John Williams' theme sounds like, so I can't figure out which part of this track borrows from it.

Here's a reminder :o

I hope someone posts the audio preview of "Friends and Foes" on YouTube, I really want to listen to it. The only audio track I was able to preview from the Apple link was "Hero's Theme", which I already heard in full.

I've listened to the track.

Returning to the listings, I would say I'm most looking forward to 2, 17, and 21.

Check the last few pages of the main thread, dude.

As a DC COMICS fan first and foremost, that is literally like pouring gold into my ears

So good. Honoring and embracing the past whilst using it to enhance the future. I’m so ready for this movie.

I really wonder how it will work in the film itself, as it sounds very old school... akin to "Star Wars" and "Indiana Jones".

True. Reminded me of the whimsical feel of the original Batman movie's theme.

Very subtle, Elfman. Very subtle. smh Waiting for the Neil Hefti Batman theme to make a cameo, because nostalgia.

I am. The heroes track is decent. But dont like the "Friend or foe" track. Hope it works in context.

The moment I heard Williams' theme, I turned it off. That's how NOT into I am when it comes to nostalgia.

I can already see how this is gonna go

JL gets great reviews for the shift in tone as well as the nods to the past, and WB decides to continue that approach from here on out

In other words, the people who photoshop director’s heads onto Jesus Christ and other religious figures will spontaneously combust with the rage of a thousand suns
