I have no clue how to interpret that comment concerning the costume, so we are to expect a darker costume or a more grounded gritty approach to the costumes ?

I'm glad everyone interviewed hints at a cross into movies, the presumed quality of this makes it logical, it's too bad that they don't put this much effort into Agents of SHIELD, as is you could never expect Home Depot Deathlok to be worthy of a movie crossover.

I just figure the costume for DD would be a little less flashy/sleek than what we've previously seen in the mcu so far. As far as everyone else goes they really wear costumes save for iron fist who's costume isn't all that complex anyway.

D'onofrio looks so much like the kingpin it's scary!

Nice to see more of the main cast on set. Now somebody just needs to snap a pic of the costume on set... It has to happen eventually

Might as well have the picture here:

Is Karen Page pulling off her stockings to show off her legs? :p

I wonder if this is an actual scene or just a candid set photo between takes.

I already miss Jon Favreau as Foggy :waa:
Ahhh, I'm sure this guy will do just fine though, looking forward to seeing it.

And Deborah Ann Woll is looking great, too.

Deborah Ann Woll Talks Taking On Daredevil Role After 7 Years Of True Blood

With True Blood wrapping up last night, Deborah Ann Woll can turn her attention to her next project, the upcoming Netflix / Marvel series Daredevil. She talked with Zap2it about playing Matt Murdock’s love interest Karen Page. But after playing Jessica Hamby for seven years, how do you approach taking on a new character:

I’m already starting to notice huge differences between the two characters [in "True Blood" and "Daredevil"]. That’s already kind of exciting to play. I can feel myself go, “Oh, if this was Jessica she would do this,” but wanting to kind of steer differently than that. It’s always going to be me in some way. I think, as an actor, that’s part of it. You have to bring some of yourself to it, and that’s why you have to revisit roles over and over again, so you can see different people bring themselves to the part.

So it’s always going to feel a little bit similar because it will always be a piece of me, but I can choose to respond differently or play things closer to the chest. It’s been a really interest experience, actually, stepping outside of Jessica. It feels sort of weird. Jessica was like an old pair of jeans. I knew every rip, every stretched out spot. It just fit me just right after so many years. Karen, it’s going to take a little bit of time, but I’m starting to figure out how to I fit into those clothes.

And what has been the most difficult part of changing characters

You know what’s funny, after a few years of working on one character, it was so easy to feel for [Jessica]. By Season 3, I could cry for Jessica at the drop of a hat. I cared about her as much as I care about myself, so it was just very easy to go there. Starting up with the new character [Karen] now, I remember being like, “Why is this so hard? I thought I was really good at this. I thought I had this whole emotional accessibility thing licked because it had been so easy for the last four or five years.”

And then I was like, “Oh, right. I’ve only known Karen for like four weeks as opposed to seven years.” I have to do this work all over again, and maybe in two years I’ll be at the point where I can cry at the drop of a hat for Karen. [ laughs] But it just takes a little bit of extra effort to get there, and making things even more real or higher stakes for yourself, whatever you’ve got to do to get yourself there. It’s a reminder of how special it was to do that one show for seven years.

Woll joins a cast that included Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Rosario Dawson, and Elden Henson. Steven S. DeKnight is the showrunner for the 13-part series that is expected to debut in May of 2015.

New Foggy has a face I'd like to punch.

I wonder how Foggy is going to be played. As someone likeable and sympathetic who gets on with Murdock, or someone initially at odds with him? Of course, that raises the question why the two of them would be in a partnership together in a law firm if they didn't get on at all.

We need a set pic of Vincent D'Onofrio as Kingpin now.

They were college buddies, so I hope they're buddies still (and that's why they join together for a law firm). I recognize that the very early silver age had a love triangle between the two of them and Karen, but I don't think they were at odds.

Now I personally do believe that Foggy should be at odds with Daredevil. Any defense attorney worth his salt would be bothered by the idea of someone who cuts all the corners and ignores all the rules that ensure someone gets a fair trial (not to mention breaks the law). Matt Murdock has this internal conflict within him always but, in a visual medium, it's probably easier to show it if you give Matt's friend the voice against Daredevil.

That guy looks like he is intensely trying to avoid looking anywhere but forwards. :funny:

"Matt would kill me if he saw me checking out Karen... wait a minute"

He probably does a lot of it under the radar.

Maybe he borrows Matt's glasses from time to time and pretends he's blind at the beach

I like new foggy so far. Remember the first issues of D, when foggy wasn't so... foggy. He was a real threat to Matt in their love triangle with Karen haha.

I personally would rather drop that storyline entirely. To me, it's just indicative of early Daredevil not really knowing where it's going. I'm a big fan of the Matt and Foggy bromance that followed later. Although I'll admit their relationship hit a rocky spell when Foggy accused Matt of lying on national television, admitted later that he was the one who was lying, caused the collapse of their lawfirm, and then blamed Matt for its death (as well as the death of Heather Glenn). But they got over it.

I would agree with that actually. I also hope he will be in the secret for the season finale.

Interestingly, Foggy wasn't in on the secret until the 300s in the comics (some time in the 90s). By that point, I think it stretched credibility a little bit. I think Karen Page needs to find out long before Foggy does, but I have no problem with both of them finding out eventually.
