I wonder if Frank Miller would be considered for writing/directing another DD movie ?

What do ya think ?

I like Proyas vision of the Crow better for DD (the original even stole the burning logo idea).

I don't think so. He seems to like doing R rated films. Which Marvel isn't doing. I don't think we'll see another DD film for a while, so we don't get another TIH movie. Though I doubt many people remember DD as much as they do Hulk.

DD is ripe for a reboot... but I suppose it would have to come after the Avengers build-up and final reveal... Then some other titles can get a look (starting in 2012 perhaps). Hopefully the dark books are given another go (in the right way). A focus on street crime, Marvel's organized criminal syndicates, super thugs (ala Tombstone), and the supernatural underworld could be the theme... Blade, Ghost Rider, Moon Knight, Morbius and Dare Devil would be the cross-over characters (like the Avengers with IM, Hulk, Cap, Thor).

Perhaps the Dr. Strange movie would be a good lead-in to re-visiting Blade, GR and DD.

But again... to the original question... Sin City had a good vibe for a DD film, but I like the texture of The Crow as the way to go (DD tried to rip of The Crow in some ways, but missed horribly).

I've been dying for Proyas to do another comic flick and DD would be up his alley.

^ You sir... are a very wise man... I know, because I happen to be one as well. My wife disagrees... She tells me, if I were a blinking moron, I would also think I was wise. Hmmmm...

If The Spirit does well, I'd love to see Marvel letting Miller reboot DD, but perhaps after TIH's somewhat lackluster BO performance Marvel will be reluctant to reboot another franchise so quick.

Daredevil by Frank Miller would make me lose my s***. I'd love it.

Cut out Morbius & that'd be a pretty good movie.

LOL... I am not a fan of Morbius either, but he is a central character in Marvel's supernatural line-up. Anyway... I imagined these as more of a couple of movies building up to a Midnight Sons kind of thing, with a linked story arc. A new Blade movie, new Ghost Rider, new DD... with MK and Wereworlf By Night as guest characters in one of more... then use strategically placed cameos of the other characters or use villians in common... to build to a major blowout with a major supernatural baddie. Perhaps Lilith and her entourage (which could be the common theme in facing bad guys that are all her Lilin, and maybe she appears in all the movies). She is trying to manipulate regular street crime organizations, with promises of power, etc... to keep a low profile... but you know the saying about dealing with the Devil (it works for Demon queens also).

Frank Miller isn't a director.

Hes barely a hollywood writer either, why trust him with DareDevil?

Sorry, he isn't directing The Spirit at all. All he is doing is copying from RR.

If he was going to do an out and out movie based on The Spirit, maybe otherwise. but he is just sticking to what he knows, and what he knows is what he saw RR do on Sin City, so he is turning Spirit into basically Sin City 1.5.

I say no. All his movies will be done in the 300 & Sin City style, and I don't think that would work for Daredevil.

Daredevil should be a front runner for Marvel do-over.
But they have to find the right director and the right script...it's gonna be hard for folks to get the taste of Ben Affleck out of their head...especially since it's slated to come out on blu-ray this fall....might take longer for the after taste to go away.....:csad:

Well 300 and DareDevil at one time was drawn by Frank Miller, and I'd certainly like to see both Born Again and the Elektra Saga panel for panel adapts.

Luv the idea! Since Marvel is into cross promotion now, this would be up their alley. Only thing is im sure they want to focus on Iron Man , Cap, Avengers since their money is going to be there.

^ agreed... we may need to wait until 2012 or beyond... But if they are bogged down with focus on the Avengers (and the associated films), then they can put me on the payroll and I would be happy to help them load balance their projects... :woot:

I think this style may actually suit DD just fine. And it will set DD apart from other superheroes like Spider-man and Batman (both that he has resemblances to).

I also agree... but I want to cast my vote for a "Crow" treatment... That look and style is even better for DD.

I'm guessing you haven't read his run on Daredevil
I have.

It doesn't change anything. They're different mediums with different rules. DD was also Miller in his comics prime, these days Frank a parody of himself.

Miller's not a proven director, either. The Spirit is his first time directing. No-one knows how good he is until we see it.

Hollywood has many more directors Marvel can use to do DD well in film before going to Miller.

Uh-uh. The last thing we need is another depiction of Marv in a mask.
