when they started the new x-men they wanted them to be adults (and Colossus was originally supposed to replace Cyclops as the leader). Xavier still called him young when he recruited him, so i would say 25 is a good 'young adult' age.

Yeah that's the issue I was thinking about but I don't remember what age was stated, though I know it was less than 25.

Colossus was about 18-19 when he joined the X-men. There was controversy about him and Kitty hooking up when she was 14 bc he was older but there definetly wasnt a 10+ age difference between them

i cant remember if i read it online or a magazine or dvd feature, but that was the original intention according to Len Wein or Claremont. thats why he was drawn in the center foreground of GSX-M# 1.

why would colossus replace Cyke as leader and still be on the team

well regardless of how old everyone is, my point was time is irrelevant in comic books and people will age according to whoever wants them to (look at Spider-Man).

Yeah you can find a couple pics by Byrne online...or I might've seen them in a magazine. She wasn't bald but she did have a short haircut, if memory serves.

OMG that would be terrible! (the Dazzler part lol) but i guess thats my first reaction to changing Ali. it prolly wouldnt have mattered if it was always like that.

yeah no one really liked Wolverine at first but when Byrne came into the books he didnt want to see the only canadian sperhero go away...its why he didnt get significant characterization until Byrne showed up
