Just in case people were still wondering about this little team:

As opposed to Marvel’s standing Cup o’ Joe panel -- featuring Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada, which is held at many comics conventions throughout the year, the publisher offered Seattle fans at Emerald City ComiCon a Pint o’ CB, led by editor and writer CB Cebulski. He was joined on the dais with writers Matt Fraction, Brian Bendis and Ed Brubaker. The panel kicked off with an admission from Cebulski: he forgot his notes about what he was supposed to announce at the panel.

Thankfully, Matt Fraction had an announcement to share: there is no “Dark X-Men” book. An image was leaked by Marvel of “Dark X-Men,” but there is no separate book (despite web gossip that there is). Fraction said fans only need to look to the upcoming “X-Men/Dark Avengers” crossover for answers to the image.

I'd say Mimic and Daken and Namor are the only ones that 100% will be who they are. Cloak and Dagger are probably not actually themselves because there is suppose to be a Cloak and Dagger mimi series coming out in before 2010. if it is actually Emma Frost though this add will make more sense.

Exactly. As of right now, they'll just appear during the X-Men/Dark Avengers crossover. If it proves popular, there's always the chance Marvel will give them a series, but as of now, they'll just appear in Uncanny. We've only got two images of them, which makes it likely that the Dodson image will be the normal cover and Jae's will be a varient.

Well the guy who's actually writing them says differently. From the looks of article, that will likely just be a one-shot, not a series.

Yeah, it was announced at the last San Diego con I think, but rumor has it the writer and artist had differences, so the writer had her fired and they all just moved on from the project.

Ha! I even read and replied to that thread. I guess I just let it slip from my memory. I've learned to stop looking forward to announced upcoming comics ever since Marvel said they were making a Luke Cage ongoing, and DC announced All Star Wonder Woman. Both were due in 2007, I think.
