Yes he was.

He could never be truly taken down due to an adamantium skeleton and a healing factor. Mystique couldn't do it. Sabretooth couldn't do it. Lady Deathstrike couldn't do it. And Phoenix couldn't do it.

I am talking about in this movie. It seems that his life was really never threatened like it was in the previous films. He gets shot in the head and passes out in X2, he gets thrown from a car and has some trouble getting back up, Magneto can make him wrench with pain, Deathstrike was wailing on him, etc...

Wolverine in this movie was vulnerable before he got adamantium but afterwards, it was like he was an unstoppable machine with no fears.

I don't really mind the fact that Agent Zero's bullet didn't phase him. He was in a uncontrolled rage and the adrenaline probably kept him going. But a indestructible skeleton shouldn't make him unstoppable.
