Darksiders

I'm at the Iron Canopy. I've taken a break for a couple days since I played a lot Fri and Sat. How much do I have left?

Could someone help me out? I'm currently in the Black Throne area on the Final Beam. I'm at at the area where there is this moving blade like thing that moves when you move the lever. There's also water in this area too. I combined the blades to the center area, and moved the water to a different area, The problem is that I don't know what to do now. Could someone PLEASE help me. I'll give you a cookie if you're able to help. Thanks.

Use the water to swim across and access the portal. Also, theres a portal on the giant pillar in the middle, and you have to position it so you can warp through that one and land on the other side of the gate that has a switch behind it. You'll figure it out.

Allright i finished the game! FREAKING awesome! Spoiler talk time!

Man theres so much to go for the next game. 4 playable characters? Possible Multiplayer perhaps for a "Zelda game" ? Oh boy the chances!

Really liked the designs on Azrael, Destroyer and corrupt Abaddon. All really sweet and awesome.

So yeah alot of possibilities in the sequel. Who was the Destroyer's master? An Old God? What will Samael now do as the ruler of Hell? What will the White Citadel do? Oh boy!

I have to say this was unique enough from Zelda games too. The 1st dungeon is *very* Zelda but each dungeon after another becomes more and more unique that i can just say: This is Darksiders. Not a ripoff! :)

I took a break Sunday and started playing God of War II. I'm almost done with that so I'm just gonna finish it. I hope I still have a lot to do in Darksiders (I just entered the Iron Canopy).

Glad you liked it Drz, I just finished it a few hours ago too...

The whole ending with the other three horsemen was awesome... I think this is the first of what will end up being a really great series of games... In retrospect, I enjoyed it more than God of War, simply in that it was much deeper than a simple action game. That said, I can see alot of room to make the second game much bigger and better, with a massive world to explore.

Iron Canopy is the name for the Spider-city, yes? You got like 1 dungeon more left and then some world adventuring and yeah then you get to the main citadel. :) Theres alot of cool story stuff and characters that i'm happy Vigil Games kept underwrapped from trailers and stuff!

@Wolvie:
Totally agreed. The game also had great voice casting aside from the enemy units barely having more than 3 different aggro words or so. =p Some of the killing blow cinematics were beatiful as hell. Especially when you kill Straga!

Yeah, too true... The story was surprisingly deep, and felt really fresh.

Also, I find sometimes heaven and hell themed games to be really cliched but this just felt really original. I can't wait to find out more about this world.

Everything about this is incredibly cliche but I have to say it's also very addictive to play.

Honestly I don't see the connection with Zelda. I can't see War fishing in Hyrule or playing minigames and chasing chickens, but that's just me.

I see elements of Prince of Persia, God of War, Conan (from THQ, which was incredibly fun (but short), and the enemies resemble some of the boss fights in Ninja Gaiden.

You know making the game like Zelda was one of the selling points for me, but I didn't see anything resembling Zelda at all. Hook chains, treasure chests, puzzles, are elements used in many different games, but to me, when I think Zelda, I think Ocarina of Time. A vast 3D world left for the player to explore and interact with. Darksiders is just hack n slash your way through different themed levels. It doesn't have anything to do with Zelda. It has way more in common with Conan, God of War, and Ninja Gaiden then Zelda.

Just beat it. Wow what an awesome game. Vigil really did a great job with this one. I got over 21 hours in.

Alright, I just started playing it and I'm already stuck.

I'm at the first "mini boss", it's a large round dining room, you fight zombies for a bit, then the guy comes out of the ground. I was a little drunk, so maybe I'm missing something, but it seems like direct attacks have no affect on him. After I got walloped a couple of times, I just turned it off.

In the words of Ned Flanders' parents, "I've tried nothing, and I'm all out of ideas."

And words of advice?

Is the guy purple with flaming rock gauntlets? I got to him when I was on Apocalyptic and gave up.

Your sword does do damage to him. Takes awhile to wear him down and get the O/B-prompt. Best just dash in, hit him 2-3 times, then dash back.

If you haven't encountered these fat, flaming enemies, you'll want to fight them up close since they mostly just swipe at you which is easy to block.

I honestly don't remember. I don't remember fat flaming enemies. This is really early in the game. After talking the Rock thing in hell, you first get the Mark Hamil demon, return to Earth and fight zombies. It's like the first non-zombie you fight. I don't see a health bar, and hitting him with your sword shows no visible effect.

just finished it tonight....cool game, worth a rent or when it drops down in price some...nice little universe they've built

My friend came over and brought the game with him. We've been playing it for a couple hours, I'm amazed at how solid it is. Considering it's the Studios first game. But you know what's even more awesome? The guys who made Darksiders, are also working on the Warhammer 40K MMO. Now I'm really looking forward to it.

I've been wandering around collecting things. I went back into the Black Throne to collect stuff. I love how even though I've beaten it, it's still complicated to get around. I'm not being sarcastic. I do enjoy how you still need to use all your items to get around. In Zelda once you beat a dungeon, it's pretty much a cake walk when you go back (excluding any water-based dungeon). Here you still have to use everything.

I think I have 3 Wrath shards, 2 Life shards, and 1 bonus to get. Sucks that the Armageddon Sword can't use any bonus items.

I got all the armor. These one enemies used to do massive amounts of damage, now those attacks barely do anything.

Not to mention you can start the game in Apoclayptic WITH the Abyssal armor. :)

So can the human race be restored now or are they gone for good?

If you look at the concept art designs there were plans for humans too. So in the Sequel if they decide, we might get to see some Humans too. :p I mean who knows really? Theres alot of monsters and races t go from different myths to folklore.
