I like the trailer so looking forward to this.

The DC TV franchise, particularly Superman's, is getting stronger. Makes sense for Krypton to debut in 2018 considering it will be Superman's 80th anniversary. I wonder if Krypton takes place in the Man of Steel movie continuity.

Supposedly Krypton it is a prequel to Man of Steel.

Doomsday is a bit weird. Brainiac is exciting. Can someone fill me in on who Adam Strange is? I would love it if they incorporate Apokolips somehow.

Overall, still not enough to capture my interest, but it does have my attention.

Adam Strange is an archaeologist who is transported by something called a zeta Beam to a planet called Rann.
Originally, when, the radiation wore off, he returned to Earth until such time he wqas exposed to the Zeta Beam once again.
So he is kind of a space hero from Earth.

I believe that he lives on Rann permanently now.

Really a pity that there wasn't any extensive footage at Comic Con.

What's his selling point?

They actually found a way for this to seem relevant. I always wondered why anyone would care about the planet that explodes in Superman's origin story.

The Showrunner Cameron Welsh comments as the religion they profess feeds the life of and ultimately plays a role in the destruction of the planet.

"The world of kandor in our show is theocracy (government that operates under the religious law) and the guild is very powerful. The political landscape is turbulent; there is a rigid separation, the district that opposes and the guide area (Scientific Guild, religious guild, the house of zod or the house of el) there is a class division and part of that division is The religion."

I can see Doomsday showing up, since his origins are on prehistoric Krypton. But this being a prequel to MoS does complicate things since the DCEU version of Doomsday was created by Lex Luthor using Zod's body.

This is what the computer onboard the Kryptonian ship said to Lex before he created Doomsday.
'Action forbidden - it has been decreed by the council of Krypton that none will ever again give life to a deformity so hateful to sight and memory - the desecration without name.'
The Doomsday that Lex created probably wasn't the first to exist.

there's no way this will be canon if they're using Brainiac. They're going to do Brainiac in the DCEU down the line, I can't see them sticking with a version that was first introduced on a tv show.

I do very much look forward to this though. The addition of Brainiac, Hawkwoman, Adam Strange and Doomsday is exciting.

Melrose Place and The Vampire Diaries alum Shaun Sipos is set for the series regular role of Adam Strange in Syfy’s Superman prequel Krypton.

That's really interesting because I was wondering the same thing - I hadn't caught that quote from the Kryptonian AI.

Is this happening or not? Has it been picked up?

Someone must be a Da Vinci's Demons fan with former alumni Blake Ritson and Elliot Cowan cast in this show.

That gif never not makes me laugh.

Really enjoyed Paula Malcolmson on Ray Donovan, so glad to hear she's attached to this now.
