David O. Russell’s “Amsterdam” (Bale, Robbie, JDW)

He ain’t cancelled obviously, but he has some shady things in his past.

I honestly don’t think actors are aware of the things that we find on the internet. They probably go in for a meeting if they like the person’s work and if they click they make the movie. Most people are unaware of someone’s past (as I’m sure like the people you work with in your daily life) unless it’s some very high profile celebrity.

Could have sworn these two still have movies coming out..
Yes, in Europe, where production companies are much smaller and far more lenient with people like these. It's different than O' Russel's big budget all-star Hollywood films that always play for awards season.

I'm not the biggest O'Russell fan, but this looks fun.

Bale is going to steal the show. After The Prestige, I don't know why directors haven't pushed him more into weird period films - love that he's getting to flex his comedic skills.

Looks ok. I like a good amount of Russell's other work espeically Three Kings and The Fighter
The trailer felt like it went on forever tho. And it was only 2:38

Can't get a beat of if I'll like it, but at least it looks like it'll have some good performances

I still think it's a PR headache at best, nightmare at worst waiting to happen.

Looks pretty great! Though the trailer for American Hustle looked amazing, but I didn’t really love the movie.

What a cast though! That alone. And yes, Bale going eccentric is always the way to go.
Best part is, Jennifer Lawrence isn't in this...

I thought I was virtually alone in that. I really disliked that one

Got a Coen bros feeling through out the trailer. Cast alone got my ticket.

Great cast. But the only Russell movie I’ve thoroughly enjoyed is I heart Huckabees.

The cast for this is all kinds of amazing, but I am so here for Bale showing just how versatile of an actor he is and having a lot of fun in a role. He looks like something otherworldly in this and seeing him surrounded by so much talent and seeing all these actors interact should be massively entertaining in itself.

This looks like another indulgant mess. I don't know what the hell it is I'm supposed to be watching.

Maybe I'm biased because it's giving me American Hustle vibes and I hated that movie.

The cast is terrific and Bale especially looks amazing but my god, that trailer felt like it was 5 hours long. This movie feels like it will be very over-indulgent.

I dont usually get excited about any of his films, but I'm sold after that trailer.

Amsterdam

Looks like this'll be a waste of a stacked cast.
