I hope the costume design is as out there as MOS and some of the comics, though. None of that "Hey, look at how much white we're all wearing!" s*** from Superman: The Movie.

The opportunities are kind of endless here. There's no set formula for what the show will be just because we already know the comics. The only certain thing is that somewhere down the line, the world ends, and one life is saved in the process. Everything else is up for grabs.

Yeah, the are certainly trying to do better. I can't help but miss the old days though.

Hopefully. Probably not as expansive, considering budget differences, but hopefully closer to MOS Krypton than Donner Krypton.

Agreed. But I hope they keep visual consistency with MOS, it's the perfect Krypton. Maybe have a section that looks like Donner Krypton where mystical stuff happens, since there's something ethereal about it.

EDIT: Okay the video isn't working. It's the Patton Oswalt bit called "At midnight I will kill george lucas with a shovel".
The moral of it is, I don't care to see Batman as a little kid and Superman's grand dad. I don't like that line of thinking. I'm not saying that these shows can't be good, but I am saying this is hard for me to actually get excited about.

So odds are that we're going to see Grandpa El and a younger version of Jor-El, Lara, etc.

I wonder if they'll use Nightwing and Flamebird.

I would hope they don't make the character of Kal-El's grandfather so young that we only see Jor-El as a little kid. Hopefully he's late 40s/early 50s when the show starts, and Jor-El is a teen/early 20-something.

I think that site is wrong to assume that Kandor would be off-limits because of the CBS Supergirl series, but those are some nice suggestions for potential plot ideas for the show.
