Day Watch Trailer!!

this is the guy that wanted to direct TIH yet Marvel turned him down

... the first movie IMO was awesome

Oh yes I loved Night Watch and I love the books only read the first two, the third one is not in English yet.
Night Watch is great and about time this film came out last Jan in Russia I can't wait to see it!
I watched the trailer in Russian like last year, but now I know what they are saying lol.

I loved the first film, Anton is a cool character the stories are good, and the books are great as there is a lot more in them, just a different stroy about vampires, dark, light people, magic people, shape shifters and others.

The bit at the end with the car is cool, got to make some avvys out of that trailer!

this movie will be ****in awesme...

the first was insane...

and i love what they did with the subtitles...more movies should do that instead of boring us with the traditional subtitles.

Yeah me to, was really different with it like in blood and then fading out.

i've been trying to figure out why the word Nigh****ch keeps getting asterisked. then i got a good laugh once i figured it out.

Here's what the third book, The Twilight Watch is about:

The third in the internationally bestselling series from Russian author Sergei Lukyanenko

Three years have passed since the events of The Day Watch. His wife and daughter spending the summer on a dacha not far from Moscow where Anton is working when his boss Gesser reveals he has received an anonymous note. An Other has exposed the truth about their kind to a human, and now intends to convert that human into an Other.

The note has been sent to Zebulon and to the Inquisition's offices in Berne - a place whose address only the highest level of mages and sorcerers know. Now cooperating, the Night Watch and the Day Watch, along with an Investigator from the Inquisition, seek to unmask the culprit. Anton will represent the Night Watch, while the Day Watch is sending High Vampire Kostya Saushkin, once Anton's teenage neighbour.

Installed in the apartment complex to which the letter writer has been traced, Anton begins to investigate the residents one by one. Reviewing the dossiers of the building's inhabitants, Anton comes across a familiar - albeit much younger - face. Could Gesser be trying initiate his son as an Other?

The first was one of the more overrated movies I have seen.

Maybe it was the fact that when I ordered the movie from netflix I got a movie called Night Watch, starring Ewan McGregor, which was actually worse.

I thought it was

Night
Day and
Dusk watch? not twilight?

That one comes out in July, I can't wait to read it, I am reading the second one right now, can't wait to see this film. About time.

Maybe the third film will be called Dusk Watch.

I thought it was

Night
Day and
Dusk watch? not twilight?

Maybe it has different names in different countries, like Harry Potter and the Philosopher's/Sorcerer's Stone for example

wasnt it dusk watch??

it sounds better with "dusk"

I hate all this crappy Watch movies. Seriously, Russian films would be the last in the best movies list, if it really was done.

I also hate the fact that those dumb filmmakers think about them (they say they are new Tarantinos and Spielbergs).

Don't think I hate Russia (I actually live there), but it's not really the best place in the world for movie industry.

Nigh****ch was over rated. It had some good special effects but there wasn't enough action and the story was slow. Its a shame because I think Timur Bekmambetov has the potential to be next Del Toro. I hope DayWatch is good.

wow.. didnt know there was so much Watch hate..lol

i thought it was very creative

russia isn't particularly great for filmmaking, whilst they were on eof the true pioneers in the 20's, they have yet to make much more of a contribution, however i enjoyed nigh****ch immensely, and have a great amount of anticipation for the sequel.

i didn't really care for Night Watch...the special effects were good and it has a pretty cool premise, but the acting and the story where severely underdeveloped.

i enjoy the non formulaic quality, it's something that western cinema really lacks, it is a little self indulgent, but still impressive and intriguing.

I forgot about Night Watch but this trailer reminded me. So I just finished watching it and I can't believe the praise some of you were giving it.

I found it to be quite boring, little imagination and next to no action. The vortex thing was completely anti-climatic and to be honest, I don't think I cared for a single character.

But if Day Watch makes the first a better film, I might give it a viewing.
