Whoever is he playing this is awesome  and did someone mention Emilia Clarke as Polaris? :hrt::hrt:

I did! lol

thinking about it seriously, having Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique on the villains side and Emilia as Polaris on the x-men team...... what more would we need?

two great actress from two different big/famous proyects on the same movie.

hopefully Bryan brings at least one more actor from Games of thrones. It would be a smart move I think

hopefully he can still play dr psycho one day, if WB ever gets their crap together

Now Dinklage is in? This could give The Avengers a run for its money as far as superhero team-up movies go.

And I see Richard Nixon is in it as well. They should just cast the dude who played him in Watchmen.

God, I hope not. And I hope this Nixon looks better than that thing..

hmm might be interesting to see a 70s version of Alpha Flight. This way Wolverine can be the catalyst to both the "present" and future.

Wow last person I would expect to hear join the movie. Though I am wondering if this means that no more old cast members are joining since they have all been announced after another.

It'll only be a matter of time before Hobbit 3 vacates that July release date.

I hope Alpha Flight isn't in the movie. The film would be over-crowded with characters.

I think Bryan hasn't made his mind up about some.

I like the sound of this. This is going to be on heck of a movie it seems.

Seems like DoFP might be a soft reboot, in a sense. That is, it can work around and resolve some continuity issues people have but still set the stage for more films.

That definitely seems to be the case.

Kit Harrington would be good choice for Gambit !

By the way, Bryan mentioned that A portion of a movie takes place in 70's. A portion doesn't sound like majority of the movie.

I love Dinklage, he's the number one reason I watch GoT... but is anyone else starting to really worry about overcrowding in this flick?

Presuming the original FC cast minus Moira all come back, that's 9 characters (4 main)
The original trilogy we've got 6 (I'd say more like 10, Wolverine takes up a lot of space)
Peter Dinklage
...and Bryan has said there is "more to come". Avengers couldn't do character development with 6 characters, I'm not sure how on earth Singer is expecting to manage this many. It's getting way too crowded. It's like no one remembers X3.

Yeah that has me worried.

Though on a positive note I love, love, LOVE that Mark Millar, despite all his big talk, has not actually been involved in this. :D

The thing is, not every character needs to have character development. That's impossible with the limited time of a film and with this many characters anyway.

A film hasn't got the same abilities and possibilities in that regard as an ongoing comic book series, a book or a tv series.

So either you want a movie with just a couple of characters or you accept that not every character will shine all the time, be front and center and/or have major character development.

Personally I love the cast so far, how great and how big it is. Bring it on! It's quite an epic cast. Hopefully they will make it show in the movie.

I'm not too worried about overcrowding yet. Thus far, Days of Future Past still has the smallest cast out of all of the X-Men films, and I don't expect everyone to return from First Class. Plus, there may be potential leeway, thanks to actor/character overlap and other characters having been previously developed in the original trilogy.

It's totally possible for a film with a massive cast to turn out to be a total clusterfudge, but I think it all depends on how they handle it. If they tried to have, like, 15 protagonists with 15 different mini-stories then yes it would be a mess. But if they split the cast into main/supporting characters, as what most films are anyway, then it could work.

Yeah, I dont think there will be problems. The previous films have already set up most the characters for the flick, and the story calls for two different teams regardless. Pretty much guaranteed at least 10 X Men members. Just cause of all the previous films Im expecting some characters to get thrown to the curve a bit, but it would be nice if its a bit more rounded.

Why, Cause he talks alot? Or did you not enjoy Wanted and Kick Ass? He was never hired to write scripts or anything.

As long as Iceman, Kitty and Rogue have one or two epic action moments, I will be glad.

Just about fell out of my chair upon seeing Dinklage's face and "X-Men: Days of Future Past" occupying the same space on my news feed. Happy sounds were made, probably to the suspicions of my neighbors. I don't even care who he's playing, and that his is a "key role" is even better news. This production is a gift that just keeps on giving.

Also, knowing Singer, I think concerns about overcrowding won't amount to much since the man has shown time and again that he can handle ensemble pieces with little trouble.

As for Nixon, it may have been brought up jokingly when someone here mentioned the possibility of reuniting Frank Langella with Singer for just such a purpose, but, well, why not? Or is there some obscure copyright-schmopyright regulation that prevents actors from portraying even historical figures twice in two different movies? It's already enough to deal with studios's playing tug o' war with Marvel properties.

I don't have much faith in Singer these days. He's made comments how there won't be unnecessary mutants in this one, but every X-men movie has had them. Literally, characters who don't have any dialogue and are only there so all the protagonists have someone to fight in the end. Give me fewer characters and better development.
