Yeah, I agree. The whole mute to few lines villain thing has been done to death in this series.

yeah, and if Singer, Lauren, Millar and Fox want to really expand the universe and make a really Epic saga, they need to improve all the characters, not only the actual x-men, but the smaller villains too.

the better treatment, the happier the fans will be, the bigger the support, the bigger mouth to mouth, the bigger boxoffice.

Epic action and GREAT characters treatment is a WIN-WIN, however fans wanna see it.

I'm not too worried about overcrowding yet. Thus far, Days of Future Past still has the smallest cast out of all of the X-Men films, and I don't expect everyone to return from First Class. Plus, there may be potential leeway, thanks to actor/character overlap and other characters having been previously developed in the original trilogy.

I agree with you. I'd be concerned if this was an origin film but it's not. Both the First Class and Original Trilogy characters have been well established. There's nothing new we need to learn about them. This film can start off with just getting everyone right to work.

Did Riptide in First Class even have a line? Or any of the morlocks in x-3 besides their leader?

Riptide's entire purpose in that film was to provide visual money shots and compensate for the lack of Storm herself. FOX knows that there is something sweet about weather-controlling mutants on film and that it brings a level of epic to any X-Men installment.

Does anyone here hope they can somehow bring back John Powell for the score? Say what you will about The Last Stand but the music was among the strongest in the series.

Amen to that.

The score of TLS was fantastic. So I don't mind if we get Powell or Ottman back. I think the whole of the X-franchise have gotten amazing scores.

If Ottman returns I insist that he use the same main score from X2 with new motifs. Although TLS was amazing, I loved it mostly for its Dark Phoenix score. But Powell's Main theme is not quite as exhilarating as John's (although it's pretty damn close!).

i changed my avvie ...what do you guys think??

Its catchy! :woot:

They made Deathstrike work In context of story In X2.And It gave us agreat kick ass fight sequenze.

I thought Deathstrike was awesome. They could have given her more lines and character development but she was just a henchman of Stryker. Not everybody is going to going get much development as much as Wolverine, Magneto and Professor X. When it comes to movies, there will be characters that will be set aside and not going to receive much character development especially if they aren't one of the key characters for the movie.

Nope so as Arclight. Though Psylocke did have two lines: "they wanna exterminate us!" "going somewhere?.

I mean this is absolutely beautiful:

The part at 2:29 is amazing. Was stuck in my head for at least a year after seeing TLS.

And just a small note, while TLS is not a good movie, I think there is enough there to enjoy. It's just way too short, way too Wolverine/Storm heavy, and of course silly in how it discarded a couple characters. And Phoenix basically stood around the entire time doing nothing until raging at the end.

Honestly, I think Ratner did the best anybody could have with the rushed script, rushed production, and poor management of Tom Rothman.

I hope DoFP manages to intertwine various elements from the first trilogy and FC. I don't mind small inconsistencies here and there, like Xavier walking when he and Magneto visit Jean. You can just pretend he has metal bars strapped on his legs and Magneto is moving him. ;)

Save for a couple of the Phoenix themes, I'm not a fan of The Last Stand's score. I think it just sounds loud (?), as though it's trying to overcompensate for a movie that was supposed to be epic but isn't.

I thought the film's action was very epic and Powell's music added to the grandeur of it.

I thought the score for TLS was nice. It would be very awesome if John Powell does the score of DOFP.

Same. I preferred both of the prior scores.

It is the strongest in the series. It's one of those phenomena of a bad film with a strangely great score.

Although Ive enjoyed all the scores, I still say Michael Kamen's was the best. But sadly, he dead.

Listening to First Class...I hope they bring in the most notable score like the main theme...so awesome that it rocks!! Combine it with the other x-men theme. :D

I've always wanted to hear Bear McCreary score something X-Men. **** consistency between movies, I want this. :o:up:

The film doesn't need to set up the characters, but I also don't want to watch a movie in which characters do nothing but move the plot from point A to B and do cool stuff with their powers.

I really like John Ottman's score. It had a lot of emotion to it. It felt like a sci-fi epic fantasy movie...

Whats the wprd on Peter Dinkladge.
I say he's playing Toad!
