In an ideal world, both Rose, January and Jason are lying. lol

sadly, probably they are right, because if that were the case, their answers will be more ambiguous

One reason I wanted to see Azazel is cause of how good of a job Singer did with the Nightcrawler action scenes in X2. With up to date effects, I think Singer could have done some real cool stuff with teleporting.

I thought the same. and at the same time wanted to see if Bryan would have tease Raven/Azazel feelings somehow, as nod or something, since Singer likes subtle stuff on his movies.

lets see what happens, if early April we havent gotten word on him, we can say a sad goodbye to Azazel (and probably to some more FC characters/actors)

I hope Flemyng and JJ are just BSing. Otherwise the ending to FC is pointless. And I don't see the point in replacing these FC characters with new faces. Why not just keep the characters who need no introduction? If its just gonna be Erik and Raven for DOFP then that sucks. The Brotherhood needs to be a little bigger than just two.

His exact quote Is I don't think I will be back.

Before people start complaning we still don't know what Is going on with the first Class characters apart from Xavier,Magneto,Mystique, and Beast.

Interestingly enough, neither does Jason Flemying.

I think it's fair to assume Azazel is not coming back. Filming starts in a few weeks and the script has already been delivered. I'm not crushed by it.

Remember, X2 had only two principal Brotherhood members too...Magneto and Mystique. If it turns out that's all we get for DoFP I actually think we'll be fine.

That sucks that Azazael isn't coming back :( You would think he would...

I thought Azazel was pretty bad, to be honest.

EDIT: What Sir Lightning of Strykez said.

I've waited my whole life to be called Sir. :)

Anyway, I think the main villain in DoFP is going to mankind and Sentinels. So perhaps we'll have another "X-Men United" situation where you have a smaller Brotherhood working with the X-Men on a common goal.

Enjoy it while you can.

I agree. Plus, unless they drastically boost the 70's X-Men to replace the absences of Banshee/Havok - at the minute it's just Xavier and Beast. So as of now, at least the Brotherhood is matching them in terms of number.

Really? See I always found his role dispensable like X1's Toad or Sabertooth. He was henchman, that's it. They come and go.

Yep, he misjudged his last 'port after nipping out to get some Thai food and now he's embedded in the fireplace...

I seriously doudt Magneto and Mystique alone are trying to kill eather Peter Dinklage charactr or Nixon. It's going to look kinda stupid to have several X-men up against just 2 Inless X-Men are just Xavier,Beast, and 1 or 2 time travelers. And with majority of film reportly taking place In 1973 that's kinda of small for majority of film.

Since X2 was based on part on God loves Man kills having only Magneto and Mystique as Brotherhood could work.Days of future past Is whole different ball game. Not having a large scale X-Men Vs brotherhood battle In past Is very bad Idea.

People need to relax for now and complain when there Is more concrete news.Remember when Shawn Ashmore said he knew nothing,or when most thought Halle Berry wouldn't
return.

Which would be very bad Idea. One of core elements of DOFP Is brotherhood trying to kill a politican or antimutant official.

Sentinles most likely won't be used except for future scenes.

Unless that's not going to happen at all..

That Is part of core story of DOFP.What's the point of time travel then and having 2 timeframes?

it may be a totally different vllian trying to kill a politican or antimutant official. we don't know if or not it will be the brotherhood

it may not be an element taken from the comic book

Which again would be very bad Idea. This Is story that calls out for Brotherhood Vs X-Men.

Again X2 took Idea of Magneto adding X-Men against Stryker from Comic. Now they added Magneto doublecrossing them and trying to use the opportunity to wipe out humans as stryker had wanted to do to Mutants.

I'm not sad about Azazel not coming back for a movie, along with Riptide and Angel Salvadore, they shouldn't comeback for a 2nd movie.

But the thing that bothers me is Jason Flemyng is Matthew Vaughn's lucky charm and we don't have Matthew's lucky charm in this movie.

Especially if Magneto is gonna do something disastrous in 1973 that would lead to the creation of the Sentinels in the future. He would need more people/allies to achieve his goal.

Well, Matthew Vaughn isn't directing this film, so why should it matter whether his "lucky charm" is there or not?

He's still producing the movie. And according to Matthew Vaughn, the movies that they made w/o Vaughn didn't do so well.

I'm alright with a smaller 70s Brotherhood and X-men in this movie. Mystique and Magneto are more than capable of this assassination themselves. There isn't much need for a bigger team. Only having Beast and Xavier saves this franchise from establishing that Banshee and Havok were part of the first team of X-men. As far as I'm concerned, I don't see the 70s X-men being official X-men. Not until Storm, Jean, and Cyclops join.

If thats the case, then no more yellow/blue uniforms of Prof X and Beast. If only 4 from the cast of FC are returning, then this is really looking to be X4 more than FC2.

Couldn't Fleming still be in the movie even if Azazel isn't?

... James Marsden and Famke Janssen can only be In film with a cameo at end.

Nope. I never saw the dead body of Cyclops. Floating shades don't count as a dead body. A grave with no body doesn't count as a dead body.

I'm telling you, Sinister has him shackled up somewhere...

Wolverine/Hugh Jackman is the star of the original trilogy, of course he's gonna time travel! They are not gonna waste this opportunity not to give him a scene with James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender.

Knowing the Wolverine character, having he AND Kitty travel back together would make sense. She doesn't have the most amazing mutant power, and could use protection. It's easy to imagine scenes where she's in danger and Wolverine goes all berzerker rage to defend her - not just because the mission depends on it, but because he's done it before w/ Rogue and Jean. It's just his style. It would be a great fit.

Well I'd like Wolverine and Kitty to have some kind of chase scene through a dystopian city streets...maybe Kitty and Bishop travel back in time? I think Wolverine should stay in the future.
