Well that fan-made trailer didn't feature Storm.

Yep she was the most noticeable absence! The trailer had practically every one else though. Apart from that I liked it.

Can't wait for real trailers. Hopefully we'll get a teaser by christmas. So long away!!!:csad:

Yeah, that was a goof. I like to pretend that it was a living statue though. lol

That's what I was thinking too. It could be one of Mystique's talents, just like it was a talent for some of the extras/actors in the museum scene in the beginning of X2 where they were required not to move.

The little girl on the mutant convoy could just be blamed on X3 writers and Ratner not knowing anything about the characters LOL :p

That said, it wouldn't be too bad to afford Mystique that ability to change her mass. I just hope they keep her from adapting other mutants' powers.

Well, she also added enough mass to go from a child version to an imitation of Xavier's mother in First Class (all done from a black and white photo she saw on the kitchen wall as well!)...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure movieverse Mystique can change her mass.

"I can't tell you..."

Yeah, he's in it.

It would be interesting to see Apocalypse if he is in the film. Singer could be adapting DoFP like he adapted William Stryker and God loves, man kills.

However I'm really sceptical at this point. I think it could just as easily be Bleeding Cool being fanboyish and reading too much into a response and exaggerating it in their article.

Now, I love to jump to conclusions as much as the next person, but one can jump too far. ;)

However, am I up for a continuation with the modern day X-Men fighting Apocalypse? Hell yes.

I loved the way Evolution did Apocalypse!

But most of the time I find Apocalypse really convoluted and confusing. I'd hate for this movie to combine DoFP with him. It'll be another Cure storyline + Dark Phoenix Saga all over again.

^ Well considering his first two film he basically pulled his punches, he needs to. ;)

I still predict that this movie will be split into two parts. Or at least, the DoFP story is planned as two movies and we just don't know it yet.

Then again Apocalypse could end up just being a Thanos-style cameo for the next movie.

If Apocalypse Is in film I don't see it as more than a cameo at end of film In setting up future film.

Personally I feel Apocalypse should be saved as a villain in a movie that isn't DOFP. The time travel, brotherhood assasination and sentinel stuff is enough on it's own.

But why does the brotherhood need to be behind the assassination? They don't usually stick too closely to the comics...and we've seen plenty of x-men vs brotherhood.

Plus, if you look at X-2 which also had an assassination attempt on the president...Xavier discounted the possibility that Magneto was behind it because Erik would know the consequences of an attack like that. So what would have changed in this film?

Singer has been influenced by X-Men: TAS before and in that series Apocalypse was behind the assassination. So why can't the Four Horseman be the assassins in the film instead of the brotherhood? We could see a future version of Angel as Archangel...maybe Cyclops could be one of the horseman? I think there's a lot of possibilities that would be interesting and surprise fans.

Well I for one want It to be inspired by comics not animated series.

Your also forgetting It was version of brotherhood similar to comic that tried to kill Kelly
on AS.It be Brotherhood and anti mutant humans as villains In 1973 and sentinles as
villains In future.

This may be reading too much between the lines when you read that article. This is just wild speculation at this point.

Still, isn't that our job to wildly speculate??? At first I hated the idea but now I'm torn. Don't they have enough to cover as it is? Why stray that far from the classic story? Any plot involving Apocalypse would have to stray from the adapted plot quite a bit unless, like mentioned above, they plan to substitute the Four Horsemen for the Brotherhood and have them be the assassins? That's an interesting idea by Legion.

The origin of a powerful character like Apocalypse would take valuable time and effort. Yet, it would be different than what we've seen before and give the mutants something to unite against once more.

I think if he were to appear then he would likely receive the amount of time Stryker got for character development. That's what I'd guess anyway.

I think he would provide a focal point and a more compelling villain than an army of Sentinels on its own. We'll have to wait and see how this develops. Aren't they supposed to start shooting soonish?
