yikes that scene would be huge, then again i'm picturing it with him destroying it

Ah, that could be fun. I'd like to see Mystique infiltrate the talks disguised as one of the delegates.

It's more likely Bishop, warpath,Sunspot, and Blink are simply part of mutants
fighting sentinles In future.

Also known as a mutant resistance.

Since you know, the Sentinels rule, and the mutants are resisting that rule.

They are far too organized, with a team and a headquarters (the temple, which in the leaked ComicCon footage we see all 4 new mutants at, either inside, or at the entrance in the case of Bishop and Sunspot) to just be random mutants all doing their own thing.

I just watched the teaser-teaster trailer. I am actually optimistic for this film...it looked good. I do hope, however, that a fair amount of time is spent in the future. It looked dark, very dystopian and...well, frankly, more interesting than the past. But we'll see.

Wonder how much of a balance will there be between the present day and the past?

It's been said the majority will be the past, and that makes sense considering that this movie is the product of First Class sequel ideas, and the majority of the comic story and cartoon adaptation were both in the past as well.

But, if the leaked trailer is anything to go by, I feel like there will be a significant chunk taking place in the future as well.

We'll have to cover:

*Sentinels, and the world that has been created and how dire it is
*Lots of characters, more so than the past, such as Xavier, Magneto, Iceman, Kitty Pryde, Rogue, Colossus, Bishop, Warpath, Blink, and Sunspot
*Alleged future plot points, such as rescuing Rogue from the internment camps
*Any potential deaths that will need to be dealt with.

Past will be the focus, as it probably should be, but I think the future is far too interesting to relegate to a glorified cameo. I certainly hope so anyways.

It's been said the majority is in the past, whatever that means

Which could technically mean 51% in the past as that is the majority. But going by filming length it seems more like 60-65% to 40-35% past to future ratio. That obviously won't apply to every character.

I wonder what the runtime for this movie is going to be? I would have thought that the huge success of Nolan's Batman and The Avengers would have shown studios that the GA will accept longer CB films as long as you use the time wisely, like for characterization or world-building. But, maybe that's too logical for Hollywood. This movie should be AT LEAST two and a half hours in order to portray all of the different pieces properly.

Apparently, Thor TDW is UNDER two hours, which shocked me when I heard it.

Didn't know that. If it uses the time it has well I don't have a problem with Thor TDW being under 2 hours. I'm a little surprised only because films like it now or days have been getting longer. I was only thinking like 2 hours and 10 minutes though.

I'd be really surprised to see a Superhero team movie like Days of Future Past go under 2 hours and 20min.

I wonder what the runtime for this movie is going to be?

Cut recently screened (with pre-viz in place of rendered effects shots, temp music and no credits) was around 128 minutes.

Jamie to the rescue! This seems like a very ambitious project. I more looking forward to the First Class cast but of course I look forward to seeing the original cast.

That's a fine running time, enough there for both time periods to shine

Majority of the film takes place in 1972. Don't expect the original cast to have tons of scenes. You can kinda guess their role.

My understanding is it is Logan, Chuck and Erick's movie/story. Take that for what you will.

So the film is mostly a First Class sequel...except starring Wolverine.

Yup, and it's always been that way.

I just hope the main trilogy cast and the future setting isn't a glorified cameo. I'm far more interested in that than I am in 1973.
