Hopefully this movie will just focus on DOFP and at the end, they could tease that AoA is going to be the story of the next X-Men movie.

Yeah, like Apocalypse could have been the one influencing a lot of what happened behind the scenes like Thanos in the Avengers. That would still technically be combining the two plots as well, just like Avengers combined Loki attacking the Avengers with Thanos attacking the Avengers for the Cube by masking one underneath the other.

I don't think AoA will be in here. At least not Apocalypse himself. They should save that for another movie. Build up to it ykno. But maybe just maybe, have him be the super mastermind behind everything. Arg we're all setting ourselves up for so much aren't we? I hope there are real surprises here.

I just mean that elements of it may be inspired by AoA...like Xavier being the target, Magneto becoming the leader of the X-Men.

And as far as the "time displacement"..didn't this happen in AoA as well? Bishop was the only one aware of the change in timelines because he existed outside of time.

I still think Apocalypse will be behind the assassination. He was behind it in TAS series and the comics have made him involved in every event in X-Men history. I'm surprised DofP hasn't been retconned to include his presence already..

I'm beginning to wonder if it will be more like Age of Apocalypse than Days of Future Past.

I looked up the plot summary on wikipedia, out of curiosity. While I have no clue how the Sentinels, Magneto and Xavier's relationship, post-X3 future etc. could fit into it, one thing I did find intriguing was the mention of mutants becoming the ruling class, and a genocidal campaign that kills millions of humans. Which immediately reminded me of the pic of the film script's front cover, and the quote which suggests that it's the humans whose future is not looking great, rather than the mutants.

With the Apocalypse rumors and Blink being added, an AOA/DOFP mash up isn't looking too unrealistic anymore. Wonder if Blink will be doing any hoping through realities or if they will just use her as a teleporter.
Given the Alt timline and introducing possible other universe's guess it would make sense. Be cool to have a reality traveler introduced.

According to her Wikipedia page, its an assumption that she's a descendant of Apocalypse. But even if she is, it doesn't mean Apocalypse would be in the movie just because of that.

At least Blink can open Portal warps so it won't look the same as every other teleporter. I think they will do some different things with her besides being able to teleport She's kinda an odd choice if they just wanted another teleporter, considering they already have 2 on opposing teams that they could throw in if all they wanted was that power. She will be the fifth one in the series by the time this comes out, so I think since she is known to be a reality hopper they will use that to some degree. Especially since this story has to do with multiple timelines or Alt Universes. And I thought telepathy would be the overused power haha.

I wasn't thinking that, it just struck me that the female members of the X-Men seem to be the real deep threats of the group.

Rogue, with her ability to absorb any power, even permanently, Jean Gray with her Phoenix force, and now Blink, who, if she is a decendant of Apocalypse, could potentially have cosmic abilities.

That's certainly more of a threat to freinds, or foes, than a guy who can shoot plasma from his eyes, another who can regenerate wounds, and a third who can encase his body in metal armor.

That would mean that X2 technically combined God Loves Man Kills / The Dark Phoenix Saga? Technically combining two plots isn't a bad idea. The bad idea is letting it all happen in 1 just movie.

Exactly, I doubt Singer does this though. I'm sure Fox have learned from their mistakes in the past and have realized from what Marvel has done that they can space these things out through multiple films.

But I seriously doubt the photo placement has anything to do with screen time. If that's the case this movie is already in trouble as Mystique should never get more screen time than core X-Men characters in this particular storylines.

It definitely seems like the possible billing. With Anna once again getting the "and" credit. And everyone after her getting the Cudmore, Kea Wong treatment.

Just because she is a descendant of Apocalypse, does not mean she has cosmic powers. None of the descendants in the comics have been stated to have anything like that, just a link to him. In fact, none have demonstrated anything like that, just a few shared powers, like teleportation with Blink, and some kind of energy blasts like Chamber, or shape shifting, which is the only power they share with Apocalypse.

Again, teleportation =/= time travel. And her reality hopping only came from an outside source, not her own abilities. I would be very disappointed if they tried to shoehorn that into her powers.

Not saying it does. I would be more disappointed if they shoe horned her in as just another teleporting mutant cause they want the effects, when they could have used the other two they have. She's pretty well known for her 295 version, with the rumors of this leading to AOA or Apocalypse showing up I would have no problem with her being a reality traveler, even if her powers were tweaked a bit or came from an outside source and mixed with her portal abilities. This story is gonna involve ALt realites or timlines so I dont think its a far stretch. Much worse has been done.
