Meh, am I the only one who thinks mutants shouldn't exist alongside other superheroes? It's a unique story that shouldn't be corrupted by Spidey and Thor and the Hulk.

Nah, I feel the same. I'm wary of a purported X-Men/Fantastic Four crossover because I think it'd be hard to play one group of superpowered people as celebrities and the other as persecuted outcasts. It doesn't seem to really gel, for me personally.

Corrupted? Nah, I love when these characters team up given the right context. Being Mutants isn't a good enough reason to seperate them imo. Only reason I'm against it is that X-Men have enough characters on their own to sustain a huge universe. As long as that's taken advantage of I'm more then fine with them being alone.

If they used the X-Men as a whole and didn't just focus totally on Wolverine, sure. For eg Cyclops would need to have some important leadership role and be conferring with Cap & other leaders. And get Beast involved in the lab talk along with Reed Richards, Stark, Banner & Hank Pym.

Like with comics I like X-Men keeping to themselves for much of the time due to the differences of their world but it would be great to have a mega crossover every now and then. If the Marvel Universe has any major events the X-men should be there along with everyone else.

Highlighting those differences could be a theme and reinforce the why are we fighting to defend a world that hates us while these other guys are doing the same thing and turn out to be celebs, just because of their background. However, I'd agree it's better kept separate most of the time. But if there's a huge event throw in the kitchen sink and that includes X-Men. t:

It would only work if the X-Men, Spider-Man and Avengers worlds were parallel universes. brought together somehow for a film.

At present, it's pretty obvious that they don't live in each other's worlds at all.

FF/X crossover just wastes time on what should be a bigger mutant universe being established. Unless its like in Whedons astonishing where Cyclops tries to make the team more media friendly superheroes rather than shadowy outcasts. And it just doesn't work despite how well loved the FF are... I dunno

It's not too bad at posting anything and everything CBM-related, and I used to chat to the guy that runs it... but the comments section is toxic, destroying any pleasure you might find in these movies. Best not to look, but to just enjoy what you enjoy...

Since ABC has apparently removed Singer's name from a new show that he is doing the executive-producing, I wonder if Fox will follow suit with DOFP? Maybe Fox is trying to see how this will played out in a few weeks before they'd make a decision.

Incorrect. They're removing his name from promotion (which Fox will indeed as well), removing his name from credits is completely different and would end up in what I can imagine a multitude of lawsuits. Fox will most likely either would promote it as 'From the producers of X-Men and X2' or just focus the rest of the promotion on Jackman and Lawrence.
