DC Animated - All-Star Superman

Does anyone else think All-Star Superman would make a helluva live action movie? I've always thought it could be the last film in a franchise.
The novel in itself would not be that good for the general audience. They'd laugh at some of its plot lines because of how over the top they are. Jimmy, the Bizarro world, hell, even Leo Quintum's clothing.

But if they captured the essence of All-Star, like TDK did with the Killing Joke (joker's social experimentation), they could make a great film. Especially if they do that [BLACKOUT]Leo = Lex[/BLACKOUT] thing.

Yep. They'd of course have to change a lot, I mean it's written and structured as a comic book series, not a movie. But as you said, streamline it and adapt it while maintaing the essence (including the characterisations and style) it would be preeeeetty epic.

They've shortchanged the two-disc DVD version with regards to extras. I'm sick of this marketing ploy to get me to switch to blu-ray. The box size is different to the metre long shelf I already have of Superman dvds and would look odd amongst them.

so just replace the case? that's an easy enough fix

Wow, the Kents look EXACTLY like Quitely's artwork.

For some reason... this just hasn't gotten me as excited as the rest of them.

Either i'm getting tired of the line or they aren't marketing it correctly.

In fact Batman: Year One is the only project from them this year which seems to be getting my attention.

Yeah, while I'm looking forward to this I kinda agree. Likely because what started out as a line of films to highlight other heroes as well as main ones has now turned to Batman and Superman with no girls allowed.

When does this one come out?

Good I was just wanting to watching a new DTV.

Pre-ordered my blu-ray copy (that comes with a dvd AND digital copy included, jawesome!) from movietyme.co.uk :) for 15 pounds! I also noticed on my emails that amazon.com is having a discount pre-order on this baby.

I want to say thank you to those who work for The DC Universe. Without them are favorite heroes would be nothing but voices on the radio or film(well plus actor)stars. You can really tell that thought, time, and team-work were put into the Animation flicks realeased so far.
One last thing. I would think it would be decent if on one of the episodes on Young Justice there was a visit from The Wonder Twins.
