Just watched this this morning.

I've never read the book, but I thought this was a solid Batman entry into DC's animated line.

Small complaint:Thing's got a tad too far fetched for me once they introduced the Lazarus Pit,then again,Batman fought an android that absorbs superpowers in the first 10 minutes,so I shouldn't complain.

The climax which had Jason,Bruce and the Joker altogether was perfect, they really ramped up the tension up to that point. When Jason opened the closet and demanded to know why Joker was still alive,I was like "Oh Damn".

The one thing that this film showcases best more than anything is Batman's moral code.I know alot of people would agree with Jason in killing the Joker (myself included),but taking that route would bring Batman down to Joker's level.

You could debate Batman's and Jason's idealogies concerning the Joker for hours.

Anyways,great film,I think I gave it an 8 but I give it a 9.

This movie was completely awesome.
the adaptation from the storyline was indeed very good, the designs were excellent, it is truly Gotham city, and the actors were excellent. I want to say that I was particularly impressed by Jason Ackles! Top notch quality, and the whole movie was on his shoulders so congratulations.
the Joker was excellent, and Red Hood was excellent.
It has been a while since I have not been excited by the DC universe movies. This one and Wonderwoman, were both very good, but to present a whole world in only "1hour something" does not work well IMO. The rest of the movies are just meh. even if sometimes the fact of having the excellent cast of Conroy/Daly/Brown saved most of watching it. It has become just a way to sell more books by copy-pasted them. I think it is a bad idea, I think they should make something new out of it. It is just random fights throughout a movie just to keep the action going and fake "problematic situations". :(

I picked up Under the Red Hood today (along with Co2E) but the Batman feature takes the ***king cake. Let me be totally frank:
-I hate Judd Winick for bringing back Jason Todd
-I hated Under the Hood arc

Despite my misgivings over Winick in the past...I have to give this feature a solid A- or 9/10 or so. Winick addressed alot of the problems I had with the comic arc (Red Hood being too ahead of everyone, Batman being a dope throughout most of the arc, the Superboy-crap origin) and really gave Batman the justice he deserves. And the voice acting...Rock solid stuff by all the cast (though NPH as Nightwing sorta rubbed me the wrong way).

I loved how the DVD managed to capture that essence of the Dynamic Duo, when Batman was with Nightwing or the flashback Bruce has. The teamwork sequences between Batman and Nightwing count as some of my faves. Despite this, the show does take a hit in terms of dialogue. I mean some of the lines were corny (Joker's "interrogation" scene, Batman explaining AMAZO to some deadbeat thug) but overall, the show was satisfying especially when Batman puts the boots to Jason's face. God, I've been waiting for that sooooo long. Anyway, Bruce Greenwood is awesome as Batman. Actually I'm sorta torn between him and Baldwin. I mean, "Enough, IT'S OVER!" and "You blinked" are some of D2DVD Batman's greatest lines...But I think Greenwood's got a future in this voice acting biz.

DC Animation, get ambitious: No Man's Land! And make it a ***king trilogy!

They should use this movie to make the third Batman movie.

Yeah, it would really make no sense in the context of the past two Nolan movies.

Just saw this last week... absolutely blew me away. Without a doubt the best animated depiction of Batman since BTAS. I actually liked this better than Mask of the Phantasm. Good job WB and DC, I'm proud of you.

But the next animated Batman movie needs to have Catwoman in it dammit!!!!! I'm having Catwoman withdrawals here.

Great movie... it made me go back into the wiki and old stories of robin for like 2 hours of reading up on the history....
but I mainly came here to ask for help in identifying a movie/episode of justice league:
It was the one where all the members of the justice league was like in a dream or under hypnosis or something and batman was the only one who figured it out.
I forgot most of it but the one scene I remember clearly was near the end when Batman went to the little girl who was controlling them and sat next to her on the swing set and convinced the little girl to stop. It was a very good film I want to know because I plan on purchasing it. I'm a great fan of the Batman story and series and I thinks its awesome that Batman is on par and even better superhero than all the other heroes even though he's only a human with no super powers.

It was an episode of the Justice League cartoon, not sure if it was Unlimited or the regular one.

Just now finished watching this on my PS3 via Netflix. Pretty good flick. I loved the conflict of ideology at the very end. Pretty much sums up why Batman is my favorite comic book hero.

I just re-watched it while I was packing with the intention of having it as background noise. Needless to say, I didn't get much packing done because I was drawn into the story. It's such a great film.

Yeah it's terrific. One of their best animated adaptions.

This film is the main reason I want Jason Todd's Red Hood to be included into the DCEU.

I remember rolling my eyes back in 2005 when I heard they were resurrecting Jason Todd. Turned out to be one of the best things they ever did.

I still can't get over how good this movie is. It's 75 minutes of pure heaven for a Batman fan.

- The character designs are spectacular, with gorgeous animation to match.
- The entire cast knocks it out of the park.
- Some of the best fight coreography we have seen from any of the movies.
- A moody, effective score.
- Exciting, action-packed and emotional.

A sequel of some kind would've been great.

Death of Robin

Joker paralyzes Barbara

I find Mark preformance is better than John

I actually found Jason's death more harrowing to watch than Barbara's crippling.

I mean the scene itself, not the vocal performance of the Jokers in the scenes. Jason's was brimming with tension, and was more graphic and brutal.
