DC Animated - Superman/Batman: Public Enemies

darn thats short, would have been nice if it was 90mins, but all these dtv things have had short run times right?

oh well but hey it shouldnt matter if they get the story acrossed well. Now for live action film should never be shorter then 2hrs minium those 90min ff/ff2/x3/wolverine films for example were just to darn short.

eh...I can do with a 90 minute CBF as long as they dont waste time

Reason I mention the 75 minutes estimated time, since there was speculation that it will only be 67 minutes long...

oh ok why would any one think it were to be 67 mins long?

Cuz you also gotta count the credits. So it probably actually is 60 something minutes long.

I never thought we'd get a chance to see Lady Shiva in a cartoon. They came close with that Red Claw b***h in the animated series but it's....sigh....it's just not the same.

Animated shorts to be shot and released with DC films beginning in 2010.

Warner Bros. Animation Planning Animated Shorts Series Based On DC Comics Characters

July 08, 2009 by James Harvey

While Warner Bros. Animation currently has no comment, The World's Finest can confirm that the animation studio is producing a series of animated shorts based on DC Comics characters, including Jonah Hex and more.

The first in a series of animated shorts based on DC Comics characters, produced by Warner Bros. Animation, is expected to appear within the first half of 2010, with more appearing during the year. The DC Comics character Jonah Hex will be featured in the first animated short, written by Joe R. Lansdale, slated to appear on an upcoming DC Universe Animated Original Movie DVD/Blu-ray release. The animated shorts will also tentatively spotlight other DC Comics characters and be similar in tone to the DC Universe Animated Original Movie titles. Multiple animated shorts are currently in production. Please note that schedule and content details are subject to change. Expect an official comment and announcement from Warner Bros. Animation in the future.

Warner Bros. Animation currently has seven different direct-to-video animated feature projects in different stages of production, with the majority of these projects headlining characters from DC Comics. Expect more announcements soon.

Stay tuned for further updates.

I remember seeing that, should be interesting to see how they will do the shorts.

Yea thanks for posting the the link for clip was pretty sweet.

Gotta be honest, I'm neither feeling the art style nor the animation (especially the forced computer graphics).

Very cool clip. Now that's whassup. Finally......Supes ain't playing around. Looks like he's serious this time.

Maybe it's a stretch, but from them mentioning that a lot of them are specifically from "DC Comics" does that mean that some might be from other imprints? I doubt they'll do any of the popular Vertigo titles, mostly because a lot of them are way too long to be properly adapted, but could we see, perhaps, an animated Authority movie?

Yeah. I was rooting for a return to the B:tAS and S:tAS style with a more realistic overtone (or done like Green Lantern or Wonder Woman). I'm thrilled that Daly, Brown and Conroy have voiced the characters again, that alone deserves a viewing.

Well, from what I've read, the original intent of the DCUniverse line was to do movies of specific storylines in at least streamlined versions of the artwork.

As for the voices, I do dig that they brought those three back--but from that clip, I'm sad that they didn't get Malcolm McDowell back as Metallo. :csad:

i would love to see kingdom come in ross artwork style animation

Great new clip, Green Lantern was amazing, even better than Wonder Woman. Superman and Batman together is going to blow it all way. Every movie gets better. Unlike Marvel, DC has a great quality of Animated movies, regularly released, 3 in 2009 and already one announced for 2010. Marvel only had Hulk VS. this year, and has Planet Hulk for 2010 and Thor: Tales of Asgard for 2011. I always found Lex Luthor a lame villain, always Luthor in Superman films, but since Superman: Doomsday i appreciate him more. This refreshing take on Luthor as president (based on the comic) won't disappoint for sure.
