DC Animated - Superman/Batman: Public Enemies

I liked the movie but it should have been longer and would have worked much better if they followed the story more. Don't get me wrong it was very faithful to the book but I would have loved to see the fight against all the villains take place in DC (like the book had) instead of Metropolis. I also would have loved to see Lois play a larger role like she did in the book instead of just showing up in the end. I would have also loved to see the Superman (Conner, Supergirl, Steel) and Batman (Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl and Huntress) family in the movie which also was pretty huge in the book. I mean I saw no harm in them being in the movie if it has no continuity anyways. I would have also loved to see the Metallo sub-plot. And I would have loved to see the end fight between Batman and Lex Luthor where Lex stabs Batman after finding out the Lexcorp has been brought out by Bruce Wayne. I think while the movie was good there was just so much that was left out that could have been and should have been told. Another great and important part left out is Older Superman vs Superman and Batman that was a great moment that should have been added as well.

Yes it was becuase it was a setup on things to come and showed how Lex was injecting Kryptonite into him self which correct me if I am wrong was pretty big.

Wrong....Lex injecting himself with Kryptonite happens after Superman and Batman have the fight in DC with the other heroes, Lex is having a conversation with Ms. Waller about what to do next and he injects himself, kisses Ms. Waller and goes back to work...its before the teams show up at the white house

No you pretty much figure out when he was fighting Nightwing and it is hinted at because of how he was going toe to toe with him.

the scene Im talking about you actually see Lex injecting himself with a syringe gun...you see green flashes off the gun and his eyes glow green when he walks out of the room...and its before the teams show up....you're wrong...deal with it

Not yet. So far, they have done Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and Batman.

No. This was all a bit boring to me. Its essentially one big senseless fight and it wasn't even that exciting of a fight. What story was there outside of the beginning was poor. Not the worst of the new DC cartoons but that's not saying much.

I share the sentiment. It was great to have all of the Dini co. voice cast back in form, but the overall story was pretty thin as can be. As an adaptation, I felt like overall it needed to be a redefined more than it was. I'd give it a 5/10 at best.

Ok after watching the 2-disc DVD, I moved down Public Enemies to # 2 on my list which previously was #1 best DC animated movie for me.
My new list:
1. Crisis on 2 Earths
2. Public Enemies
3. The New Frontier
4. First Flight
5. Wonder Woman
6. Doomsday
7. Gotham Knight
I feel that First Flight and Wonder Woman are better movies overall and should be at the top 3 BUT I just loved multiple heroes in a movie.
And yes I know Crisis on 2 Earths is not released yet, BUT I can just tell justl like with the rest of the FIRST LOOK that I would LOVE IT.
