DC bringing back "The Titans"

No, you guys are missing the point. The issues ARE resolved in a single issue. They simply just don't show it. They have every titan surpised and then the next time you see them, they are stadning around looking gloomy. And that's it. There is resolution apparently, they just do no show it.

I'll withhold further judgment until I get around to reading the book, but on the whole, I feel like very few people gave this book a chance at all, because it's a new #1 by Judd Winick from DC Comics, and that's three strikes to internet fanboys.

I liked it, honestly. At least they are getting around to resolving the butcherific giant size special. Apparently only ONE of them died in all that.

That's the impression I got from the review: all of the Titans are attacked, but then the story just leaps forward without showing most of the resolutions to those attacks.

Did anyone contract HIV, fall prey to a hate crime, or realize they're gay?

I'm pretty sure both Starfire and Wally got raped, but the book leaves just enough off panel that I can't truly prove it:(.

Posters on Newsarama are battling over that review. Some people insist that the book was really good and that reviewer was crazy for wanting a book featuring all the old Titans to actually feel like a Titans book.

I thought it was decent enough, but still not very encouraging. More in my review after I actually finish it.

I noticed that as well. One thing that bugged me was, what if Trigon's eeeeevil plan had worked and Raven and the gang all got stomped by fire-rhinos and giant spikey pool vagy-fishes. Are you really telling me that there isn't going to be focus on Raven later in the story, and that Trigon doesn't want her alive. The focus of the book should have been on her. Seems like the return of Trigon should be talked about in say, a Raven series. But instead in that we get awkward cartoon art and the Medusa Mask.

Just goes to show how insane some people are.

The issue was bad. Really bad.

Sadly, I'll still probably check it out if Tempest ever joins. Maybe Winick will figure out how to write the Titans by then.

I enjoyed the writing myself. But the art. God the art. Leg quivers on Roy? What. The. F**k?:csad:

His whole schtick is shooting arrows. Man's gotta carry a lot of arrows. :o

Was that a special motorcycle domino/crab mask?

He likes to be prepared. Geez, why aren't you jumping down Batman's throat if Roy bothers you that much. :whatever:

All in all, a slightly above-mediocre issue. Nowhere near as bad as Newsarama's boy makes it sound.

You obviously just can't comprehend the full extent of all the awesome Churchill packs into his art. :o
