DC Relaunching Everything?

Don't forget there was the newspaper article how comics are better profits for investing than the stock market... Thats why i'm paying my future son's college with my Spawn #1 copy, hah hah you losers with your jobs. :D I pity the fool!

Who the hell is Gypsy?

Also, notice how Ice's midriff is gone, Vixen has no cleavage and so on. Booster's suit is a disaster.

Btw Misty, Simone will be writing Firestorm.

Gypsy is a character from the "Detroit JLA". She has illusion type powers and is a good h2h fighter. She's okay, she was least annoying of the three new characters they introduced in that run. Vixen was an already existing character and was a good character, Steel looked good but could have been written better, and Vibe was, well, Vibe.

Thanks for the info mate!
I believe he is from The Great Ten mini/Final Crisis.

Cant wait to see what they did with Black Canary/Zantana/Powergirl/Supergirl/Starfire redesigns.

And how they are going to tackle Babs as Batgirl again.
They better not close PG's boob window! :argh:
Who's the dude in the top right of the JLI?

Or do we not know yet.
Looks like Turd-man! :awesome:

Umm, you do know that the only reason X-Men #1 sold one million copies was due to there being 5 varient covers that everyone had to have (including speculators which were huge at that time in the industry). If there would not have been five different versions of that cover, it would not have sold near as well. One million divided by 5 is 200,000.
I actually made a mistake. It actually sold 8 million copies. Also using your logic the comic still sold a 1.6 million issues. My point still stands.

"A version of Batman" leads me to believe that Batman Inc remains in place

Maaan GA and Hawkman look awesome. Liking their costumes. I might give Flash a shot and I'm surprised they're giving Mr. Terrific his own series. It's great that DC is giving characters like him a chance.

I probably would be more receptive to this reboot if it had occured immediatelys after Infinite crisis or didnt affect Batman,Gl titles and most importantly Earth one.

Not really. The 8 million copies sold was actually just the pre-order. It probably only actually sold 3 million copies total to customers. Leaving retailers to pay for the rest and for that issue to languish on shelves and backrooms forever.

No comic is going to reach those kind of sales ever again. The 90's were known as a speculative market. Everybody and their mother-in-law bought Superman #75 because Supes died and everyone thought it would be worth mucho cash years later. That issue is worthless now, as is X-Men#1. The speculative market has dried up and blown away. The only people who buy comics anymore are long-term readers/collectors and people who get introduced to them by said long-term readers.

Where do they say that?

- Mr Terrific vs science gone mad sounds great. His costume is a disaster though.
- Captain Atom sounds like Dr Manhattan. We should have seen that coming.
- Pants everywhere.

It's the same Emblem, same gloves, relatively same belt...It's Bruce on both. CBR doesn't know for sure so they kept it open, but it's obvious it's Bruce.

That and they said yesterday their'd be a Nightwing #1 at the same time they said Babs as Batgirl.

Im so getting Wonder Woman. Im a huge fan of Brian and I hope he keeps WW grounded and more realistic.

Yeah I'm a little iffy on Terrific's design but I'm still happy he's getting his own book.

And I still think the Batman on the JLI cover is Bruce.

Yes but that's CBR writing it, not the official DC blog. They dont say "some version of Batman" there, not to mention that the suits look identical in both pics.

And because i cant whine enough about it: Batman has no gauntlet fins and no pants.

See with Superman its not that bad because he doesnt have gloves, but with Batman you need something to break up the grey in the middle otherwise he looks naked. Well done DC. Now casuals will think Batman is seriouz businezz and not a cheesy superhero that fights clowns and crocodile men.

Funnily, I hope he does the polar opposite.
I 'm with you. I want WW to be nuts, as if Morrison was writing, and giving the mythological stuff a more modern take, like the New Gods or the Asgardians in the movie. But Azzarelo sounds like he's gonna do something like Rucka's run and i'm sorry but that thing bored me to tears despite the quality of the writing.

Just have WW in a Batman Inc type of adventure across the world, it will be glorious!

I agree with both points.

its not obvious...would DC put Batman on two team...sure it can happen just ask wolverine...if the costumes are the same why would they say a version of Batman unless they have some insider info....and just because the book is called Nightwing doesnt mean its Dick

It looks like he still uses the cod piece from his Batman Inc. suit, only a bit darker.
Instead of seeing panties, we get a Jock strap...

See i thought the new suit was this:

+ Dickbat's gauntlets, only a bit more stylized and with 3 pieces instead of 2.

I also like Lee's new more modern belt. Its about time he ditched the plumber belt.

Turns out its a pile of crap. Overstylized Finch gauntlets with no fins, no panties to break the grey (no underpants = seriouz businezz), and even seams on his goddamn cowl.

They're the only ones who talk of a "version"
Batman has often been in multiple teams, I remember seing him in the outsiders, the JLA and another one (I forgot which)
If it was another Batman, the change in costume would be obvious, like they did since Bruce came back.

Btw Scott Williams will accompany Lee in the Justice League book so there probably wont be any delays. HOORAY, THEY WONT NEED TO REPLACE LEE AFTER A WHILE AND WE CAN HAVE OUR WOODEN 90ies ART!!! IF ONLY THEY COULD GET FINCH AND LIEFIELD THERE TOO!!!

I hope that Power Girl's new suit is covered up. I don't mind Wonder Woman so much but Power Girl is all
about proud about her..assets...:0

So um....I'm confused. I'm not a big comic reader as I should and really want to be. Because of the costs of many of the individual characters I am most interested in(both in DC and Marvel) I've decided to simply just get graphic novels like crazy when I have the chance(and money).

I still try to follow what is going on as I'm pretty blind to the comic world of the past...many many years and I feel deeply ashamed for it as I love superheroes so much and always want more. But DC constantly rebooting/launching their lines make little sense to me, doesn't that just make things more confusing for everybody? Maybe that is why I find Marvel so much easier to follow(and that be confusing for me too).

I hate my don't-have-lots-of-knowledge-self. :p
