- To replace DC Archives in the collected editions schedule, the company will offer a line of DC Comics Classics Library hardcovers in 2009. "We want to feature classic stories and classic creators in upscale format hardcovers," DC's Georg Brewer said. "The stories have to be older than ten years, cannot be recently collected in hardcover, and aren't a part of an ongoing series." Look for info on the first volumes in the DC Comics Classics Library series in an upcoming issue of CSN.

I thought it might be interesting to see what you guys make of this. For instance, what stories do you think might be reprinted in this new format?

On a side note, I'm glad to see that Y: The Last Man is being given the deluxe hardcover treatment. I knew my waiting for a Y hardcover wasnt false hope.

Interesting, how about the Vigilante? Deathstroke? L.E.G.I.O.N? OMEGA MEN is very likely.

Going back further Black Lightning, Warlord, Sgt Rock maybe....... I'd like to see Prez reprinted just to see if it was as bad as I remember. Actually I know it was, Prez and the vampires anyone? One day I will go into my parents loft. It's got to be worth it for the first 100 2000AD's alone........

:) OMEGA MEN or Doom Patrol are my number 1 and 2 picks respectively.

i think this is a good opportunity to republish Oneil's run on the Shadow as well as Batman... this is what he's known for

I'd be willing to buy either of those, if they're to be included in this. Maybe the Swamp Thing material, as well, if I have the cash. I really would like to see a nice, sturdy, high-quality G.I. Combat hardcover, too.

So the archives are discontinued? That's too bad, was really looking forward in getting Batman and TEC complete this way!

Anyway, I hope they collect the Grant and Breyfogle run in these books!

are they going to do The Shadow Strikes... i think it ran for 31 issues...

I want a collection for The Spectre.
