Get ready for a lot more Cable. Josh Brolin says there are plans for at least four films featuring the Deadpool character, set to make his debut in Deadpool 2. In other words, expect to see Cable in a few more Deadpool sequels. “We think about it in four movie terms. We tried to think of Cable as a full arc, not just in this movie, but in the trajectory of four films. That made it a lot more fun for me,” the actor said. It’s not clear if these movies count future Deadpool sequels among their number or if this is about the upcoming X-Force movies, where Cable will be promoted to lead character.

Should the deal even go through, the integration itself wouldn't be fully completed until 2021 apparently, as that's how long Iger extended his tenure. Until then, as per usual, the two studios act autonomously. It'd be possible.

Who knows if they make the films but I do know that if this is successful Disney will carry over Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool to the MCU and well yea I wouldn't be shocked if characters like Domino and Cable came along with him. Keep in mind though that when Brolin got his contract, it was before Disney asked to acquire Fox so at the time and even now Fox needs to operate as it would if no acquisition is taking place.

And will marvel base their whole rebooted X-Men stuff around what the FOX Deadpool films? again if thats the case why beat around the bush? if they are willing to pick and choose then just continue the FOXverse.

Either way i still think we will get an X-Force Movie under fox.

I'm not sure if Deadpool will even get carried over to Disney but if any character from the Fox universe has a chance it's gonna be him. I'm willing to bet that Disney would make a third film in order to create closure for fans, if that makes sense? Again that's if this movie is well received. After that I don't know what they'd do with the character. Maybe just have him appear in certain MCU films or something so then not all the characters have to be carried over.

Or they could make a third film and then not do anything with the character.

But again that all depends on the reception of the film. If it's bad then they can just close the chapter on the character all together with the possibility of introducing him again later down the road as part of the Fox X-men reboot or just not having him in any films at all.

But I'm hoping we get an X-Force film. I just don't know if it'll be done in time by the time the deal goes through.

Fox is pushing forward like there is no acquisition, which is what they have to do. If they started cutting back on movies in the run-up to next year, what happens if the acquisition doesn't go through? This is not a done deal.

I can see X-Force and Deadpool 3 happening (so 2 possible movies with Cable there). But, unless Marvel decides to use these versions in the MCU, yeah I don't see him making 4.
