I doubt that WB CEO Kevin Tsujihara cares one bit, it's a jab aimed at fans who love DCEU.

DC's material and characters by nature can be dark. So I didn't take it as a jab or a burn. It does highlight the perceived reputation and tone when compared to other studios. I thought the GL joke from DP1 was funnier honestly.

Just saw the trailer. I can't wait for this movie. The ending made me laugh pretty hard. I also like the Goonies reference that's directed at Cable/Brolin.

Only thing that disappoints me so far is how the X-Force Team comes together. Would have preferred them to already be established, and the X-Men send them to take on Cable.

I think if they used bigger X-Force characters - Cannonball, Psylocke etc, it could've worked out as a strike team that Cyclops assembled ala X-Force Vol 3, but if they're using some lesser known characters, it's fine that they kinda do it in a more humorous manner in line with Deadpool.

I loved the Origins reference, love the Logan jab (Ryan is truly Hugh's biggest fan, he called Logan's Oscar nom a year in advance), but my favorite joke was Cable calling Wade a sex toy and the DC Universe joke.

I feel like the X-FORCE stuff thats being marketed is abit of a troll on the fans and audience because if whats been said is true [BLACKOUT]3 or 4 of them die comedically gory ways after they jump out the plane[/BLACKOUT]

So its all being built up just for the shock and comedic value of whats to come.

Although Jeremy Conrad does make it sound like reshoots may have changed that.

I don't think they changed anything in reshoots in terms of the fate for the X-force team. I already mentioned several pages back that

Not all the X-force members die out of the helicopter jump according to someone who was at the screening back in March.

Based on Shatterstar and Bedlam fighting, seems like that person was correct.

I do want to add that its possible that since they had two different cuts, that each cut went in different directions so who knows.
