I know this sounds odd, but what do you all think of Dwayne Johnson a.k.a. The Rock as Deadpool? He's got the build, and I think he can do the zaniness too.

Yeah, Ryan Reynolds is the ideal choice. I use to be a Dane Cook for Deadpool fan but every movie he's been in has bombed at the box-office and he himself isn't really much of a comedian. Sorry, maybe it's me, but I find him to be overrated.

Adam Baldwin is a nice idea. I think though I would want something like what Dan Castelanta did with Deadpool in the "Marvel Ultimate Alliance" videogame. Someone who can switch off being one minute serious, the next crazy, the next funny, and the next someone clearly off his medication and just ready to fire some pistols and blow **** up. If we can find a guy like that for DP than great.

I don't know who could play Cable though. I was thinking Clint Eastwood but to me he's Bruce in a "Batman Beyond" film. Bruce Willis with white hair wouldn't be a bad Cable.

John Kassir was DP in MUA. Also the voice of Cryptkeeper.

Im still for Dane Cook. I get it, people dont like his standup. But he has exaggerated, very animated movements and a scatterbrained way of talking which is DP to me. And i dont care if it doesnt become a blockbuster, DPs definitely an acquired taste. Plus I think DP only has one film in him anyway

Thats the same version I have, but it is John Kassir. It does sound more like a less "ghoulish" cryptkeeper (if that makes sense). I love the voice for DP too btw.

Hmm, just wondering: For a Deadpool movie, how would they make him 'break the fourth wall'? What if they did it reality-show-style, with Wade making comments as if he's in an interview? Don't think anyone's attempted that in a film before.

I would love for Deadpool to break the 4th wall, but because of the small fanbase, the audience would probably think his jokes are just out of place.

I also always pictured DP and Logan facing each other and Logan asks:
Logan: what do you want?
DP: my own movie!
Logan: ARE YOU CRAZY!?

this wouldn't really be breaking the fourth wall for the general audience...but the fans could get that
