Other Deadpool Candidates?

Oh well that's not what a smart mouth entails but I understand your point now. Ryan Reynolds I think is plenty tough after seeing him in Smoking Aces, The Amityville Horror, and Blade Trinity, though. Dane Cook I wouldn't know about since he's only done comedic roles but I don't see why he wouldn't be able to pull it off with a good crew behind him.

I can't remember the name of the movie but Cook was in it and he played a serious role(well it wasn't a comedy)...I think he was a crazy insane guy or something. Idk i didn't see it but I guess one could look there to see if he can act tough and crazy.

I just don't know, I don't think he could pull off the deadpool that I'm familiar with (The Circle Chase Mini-series.)

I've been reading everything Deadpool I could get my hands on since Palmiotti was writing him (somewhere in the 40s) and I personally think that Reynolds would be a great choice. He's able to be calm and subtle but at the drop of the hat his eyes can be bat**** crazy with his eyes popping out of his head and then go to intensely serious. I think he has great range to pull off the character. Not to mention the physique.

I don't see how anybody could be disappointed if he made the role.

By that pic I don't think anybody could question his physique for the role. He made his career based on being a smartass with one liners. Based off Trinity we can see that he can handle an action movie. He can play badass and tough(at least in regards to Deadpool). He's no A lister but he has the acting chops to do a Deadpool movie(not like its going to be a deep emotional film were great acting is required).

Maybe the voice is debateable...but thats only because we have no real idea what Deadpool is sopose to sound like other then in our imaginations.

I'd take Cook as a good second choice but I think he would be more acting like himself then acting as Deadpool if you know what I mean.

Would you prefer casting some average sized dude and putting him in a muscle suit? It's T-Ray! He's supposed to be huge! And not Brandon Routh, Tobey Maguire, Tom Jane, Christian Bale "I used to be so small but look at me now!" huge but "I've been building my body for years" freakishly huge. I'd say Chris Irvine (Chris Jericho) but T-Ray needs the height and I'd suggest Adam Copeland (Edge) but he'd actually need to bulk up even MORE. Triple H just seems like the best choice for a character like T-Ray.

It's kind of funny that you mention Jericho. I remember seeing a Deadpool casting call in an issue of Wizard years ago and they picked Jericho for T-Ray. I'm gonna have to see if I can dig that issue up and see who all their picks were.

However, I'm all for Ryan Reynolds or Seann William Scott in the role of Wade. :yay:

Reynolds and no one else the man is deadpool, If he really wanted the role, he would start getting a crew himself and then tell marvel to finance it.

I would not complain a single bit if we found that Ryan Reynolds decided to be part of a DP film. All we'd need though, is Taskmaster.

EDIT: Oh, and I kinda see Alan Cummings as Weasel.

Oh Taskmaster is Jason Statham. Easy. The Trasporter with a mask and powers. :woot:

Ah. Well I still like him as Taskmaster. The Taskmaster from the min-series and Agent X anyway. Nowadays he's kind of a whipping boy, which I don't find cool at all.
