Sequels Deadpool Script Review

As long as it has a rating that allows a decent amount of bloodshed it should be fine whether HARD PG-13 or R.

I'm surprised he posted so many spoilers, but yeah, that's an accurate review.

As its currently written, it's hard R.

So the script is actually good? Then all we have to do is wait for Fox to F it up.

Script is definitely good. I don't agree that it's as earth moving as the review makes it out to be. And it's definitely hyperbole to suggest it makes Reynolds an 'icon' or whatever.

That being said it's a damn solid Deadpool script and easily better than anything the fans could have hoped for. Also, there won't be any cutting for PG-13 in this movie. You'd have to write the whole thing over again because it's very violent and has a lot of sexual humor that wouldn't work without the R rating.

^ Well they could easily cut out those F bombs and S words(that has hit after the S lol) that were used so many times because you can get away with sexual humor in PG-13 as well as good degree of violence.

I'd like to see the movie made just as it is in the script. There's some great-sounding scenes in it.

The first 15 pages alone push it beyond PG-13 level violence, language and sexual references.

I didn't read the whole thing, because I didn't want to spoil the movie too much for myself but what I did read of the script it's solid. Worst case scenario I'd put it around Wanted (and that's not a bad thing) in terms of quality and that's if they get a director who doesn't help the script along any.

Yeah the script is definitely R, I'd say. I didn't read the whole script, but from what I did it was definitely more R, than PG-13.

Although just cutting out the language could make it PG-13. Which Fox would probably do anyways.

Is there anywhere to find the leaked script? I'm very eager to read it!

Just read it and they got the humor right.
But yeah, it could need some trimming in the action/language and more importantly, there's no actual need for Colossus to show up or so many back & forth with the past and present sequences.
Very promising though.

I don't think it needs trimming in the language/action department at all...

Deadpool shouldn't be a PG film...

Anyone got the script to pm me?

I got a link from Parker Wayne but it didn't work.

I don't think so either but at some point, it felt a bit repetitive/forced.
I'd be happy with a revised version of this script. :)

What are the chances of a film being made if the entire script has been leaked online?

Most leaked scripts are for films that never came to fruition.

^X-men 3 (pages of) Jennifers Body and Shutter Island are all film scripts I've read before those movies came out and they all came to fruition... What are you talking about?

You don't know what you are talking about. Most films have their script leaked online before the film hits the theaters. Some even before they enter filming (MIB3, Dredd, Paul, Thundercats, Riddick 3, Akira, Ghost Rider 2 etc. etc.)

It doesn't really seem to affect anything.

I like other characters using strong language, but I don't think it suits Pool. He's classier than that. If he's gonna swear he should at least do it creatively. Also I wouldn't mind if he was less of a nutbag before the experiments on him.

I read the script last night, I don't think the movie will end up like that tbh.

It didn't seem like it could be made for cheap either.

But I did enjoy reading it.

Yeah, the thing is, I suppose it's a given that writers should never limit themselves with budget considerations.
That's an issue for the director/producers to sort out so yeah when you read the script you think ok, Colossus out, one/two secondary characters out, less cannon fodder in the beginning and ending sequences, etc...
Yet the tone is spot on, minus the curse words... (I didn't miss those in the comics, I wouldn't either in a movie)

A few pages of X3 is not an entire script.

As for the others, well i was unaware of them (thank God).

Most scripts I've become aware of are for unmade movies.

Obviously, I'm not seeking out those from films that are about to be made, which I'm glad about to be honest. I wouldn't want to read a full script of a film I might go to see. Maybe afterwards, but not before I even see it.

I wasn't aware of all those script leaks of films that are definitely being released. And I'm actually glad about that.

Nice of you to go straight into being personal and accusatory though. At least I know I'm on the Hype.

No wonder a lot of people don't bother coming here. Keep up the good work!

Yeah your right it does cheapin the experience if it's good but if its bad it saves you a few pennys :oldrazz: lol

Yeah, Deadpool was the first scipt i've ever read prior to a films release, and I don't think i'll do it again.

Also, if this gets made, i'm sure it won't have too tight a budget. It is part of the X-Men franchise and i'm sure Fox wouldn't scrimp too much on it, especially for FX on a character like Collossus who is one of their big links to the franchise.
