Why should I? Is it from Fox?

Despite the initials (or something) of its lead actor and potential director, the film is not leaning towards an R-Rating, but it's rather poised for a PG-13 stamp.

The quote, for those of you who choose to ignore the video.

Sorry, but Clever TV is not a reputable source. But, I guess I'll treat it as the holy grail.. because.. well, why not?

Geez, what the ****?

I'm not treating it as the holy grail, I'm saying that there must be a reason why they made that announcement.

Why do you assume I WANT a PG-13 rating by saying that it appears it WILL be a PG-13 rating?

SpiderByte, did you read my post? I'll post it in caps so you see it. UNTIL SOMEONE WORKING ON THE MOVIE SAY'S IT'S PG-13... I WILL HOPE AND BELIVE IT'S R RATED!! I will not belive some YouTube user... Sorry.:o

Chances are it'll be R since Fox let 'Predators' (produced by Rodriguez) be R. The only way it'll be PG-13 is if First Class & Wolverine 2 bomb & Fox is desperate for a hit.

Neither was Blade, but he got three movies and a TV show without needing to be a household name.

PG-13 = Kiddy now?

It's not like it's G-Rated. He can still do crazy crap, just not as much crazy crap.

I hope Reynolds makes DP soon. Im more looking forward in his performance in that then GL. Wally West and Deadpool are 2 comic characters he's born to play.

And no PG13 doesnt=kiddy its just this new notion that fanboys have

If PG-13 = Kiddy....then almost every superhero film is kiddy. Batman Begins, Superman Returns, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk, Iron Man 2, Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man 2, The Dark Knight. All good films, all PG-13.

Well...it kinda is. EVERY SINGLE DC/MARVEL SUPERHERO movie to date, sans Blade, Kick-Ass, and the Punisher has been marketed to kids.

Seriously....Batman Begins, TDK, Iron Man, Wolverine, Spider-Man...you name it, it was marketed to kids.

However, NONE of those characters were that violent. Sans Wolverine...which is why Wolverine blew so much. But I digress.

Deadpool is a VIOLENT character.

Why are you arguing this? Deadpool is NOT a PG-13 character. Period. He's not. He kills people....sometimes without reason. He curses, he drinks, he's deformed....nothing about that character can be marketed to kids. He cant do ANY crazy crap. Yes, Tony Stark did get drunk...but we dont really "see" him get drunk.

He just is drunk. Kids can accept the comedy of intoxication...but watching a superhero down shots like no other wouldnt work. BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO MARKET TO THE KIDDIES! :hehe

And if they recast, then **** this **** all to hell. **** that movie all to hell. It'll be worthless.

Just because it doesn't have Reynolds does not mean the film will automatically fail. Reynolds helped write the damn thing, and is still in contact with the writers. It is a reboot of the character after all. A different actor is actually pretty logical, to not tie it in to Origins.

Or, even better, the film will be delayed so long Marvel will get the rights back. After First Class and Wolverine 2, they don't have much to work with to keep it going apart from Deadpool and Magneto. Eventually, the rights will go back.

No...it'll be a big mega fail.

Because without him, no one will be able to A: Market it...(RR is a hot potato right now), and B: Stop it from becoming another Wolverine.

And plus, he's so perfect, anyone else would be a mega fail.

There are plenty of actors as good and even better as Reynolds.

I'm also starting to hate how this thread is developing a bat-boards-like mindset. It's not 'People for R' and 'People for PG-13'. I'd be okay with either, personally.

Losing one actor this early in pre-production won't doom it.

You are aware that Reynolds is not the only good actor in the world, right? It's not as though unknowns can't be good actors.
