Meh, I don't know what Mods you have dealt with but I argue points all the time and I've never banned anyone for having a different opinion to me, if you are saying you can't have this discussion without resorting to insults that's pretty sad.

Nope. I've never insulted the mods...but I still got infractions and followed around the forum.

I wouldnt even resort to insulting you. I just had some pretty poor interactions with the mods here, without even insulting anyone, which is why I took a long absence. It was becoming too much like walking barefoot on broken glass.

I'm not gonna drag your history up man but you were hardly some innocent in it all if you're honest about it.

but this isn't even the same deal, this is just a discussion.

I dont even see the point in bringing "history" into anything. That's pointless and silly.

I dont care what anyone says, I didnt go and insult everyone. I just love to argue. :D

Oh sure, sometimes i'd get heated, and far too many people would act like what i'm saying about a movie really effects them in real life...

And honestly, if you take what I say super seriously....then you've gotten the wrong impression of me. This agrument was hardly heated. It's just not going to keep it going. It's not going to end....if this was between me and Byte yeah....

But not with mods. Because they really get too caught up into things. (Not all of you guys, but you cant deny that some do actually take the internet too seriously). I mean, if I was insulting Byte and stuff, i'd understand....but I think what quailify's as an insult, and what actually is an insult can be lost.

I actually remember making a joke at someone, and getting an infraction for that.

I dunno. I like to discuss. I like to argue. I dont see the problem with that if no one's going at each other's throats.

Well the history stuff came from your comments which you relay as if you were persecuted which looking through the infractions was far from the case. ;)

I am not taking you seriously to the point that I am in the least bit emotional as I type this and arguing with me or Byte makes no difference, somethng you would know if you knew me a bit better.

I don't have an issue with you liking to argue and you're right, we'd never end this b/c we see it differently, however if I can offer you some advice, it's not about taking the net seriously but when you come to a board like this you don't come to be badgered and annoyed or flamed by another poster, irrespective of what they see as flaming, and when you argue you have a tendency to be a broken record about it which becomes trolling, such as in the Avatar instances.

Well, Avatar fans are pretty annoying. ;)

Case in point, we have this girl in my Lit of Film class, and ALL she does is talk about Avatar.

"OMG just like in Avatar!"

"Hey did you know like in Avatar..."

"Have you seen Avatar?"

GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I was so going to say, after she said "Have you seen Avatar?"

"OF COURSE HE'S SEEN AVATAR! EVERYONE IN THE ENTIRE WORLD HAS SEEN AVATAR! THAT'S WHY IT'S THE NUMBER ONE MOVIE OF ALL TIME!!!"

But I didnt, because she looked like she had no friends...or anyone to love her. :(

But she still irks me. :haha

I saw Avatar. It was basically Pocahontas in space.

Way, way overhyped.

Lol in my film class most of us were saying while we liked Avatar alot, we said how the story was meh, and this Avatar girl started crying....I cant make stuff like that up

I actually go to Avatar forums just to see them cry about the Oscars. Watching someone else's pain has never been more fun.

LOLOLOL......^

I cant believe people thought it deserved the oscar. Let alone the nom. Great movie visually, meh story....

i need to do this

back on Deadpool, IF they recast, who would you want in the role of Wade Wilson?

If Ray Park had any actual speaking acting talent, maybe him. But I'd totally pick him for stunts.

Actually, they could have Ray Park do the stunts, and have Reynolds voice over him, when he's in costume. They did that for Phantom Menace with Maul, and it worked out well. (The effect, I mean.)

If Warner is really trying to make Ryan drop Deadpool. Then they're idiots. You'd think a movie company would want their movie- star to be in as many movies as possible, as long as the schedule doesn't collide... Maby that's just television studios then.

Ryan Reynolds is the only actor who would do the character justice, in my opinion. He loves the character, I don't think many actors would bring the level of commitment to Deadpool then Ryan would. So if there's truth to the article. Then Warner Bros can suck a bag of d***s.

It's like these people were born to be these characters. Like, how RDJ is basically Tony Stark in regular life, as far as personality goes. And didn't Heath Ledger lock himself in for a month just to practice Joker's laugh?

There's dedication, then there's ****ing DEDICATION.

No. They werent paranoid.

I'll ask you this...do you think Watchmen or Sin City could've been PG-13, and still kept the same tone, and feel as the books?

To be fair, Sin City is aired on TV, and aside from cleaning up the language and some of the images, it's the same story. To me, the only thing the curses did for that movie was to show that it was like the real world, where not everyone can say "fudging" or "fluffing", so it gave a little realism. But having an R rating also gives some people the idea that because they can drop the F bomb, that it should be used in every sentence, which can completely take someone out of the movie.

For Deadpool, I think (and I've said this before in this thread) a PG-13 movie would give the writers, directors, and Reynolds (hopefully) the chance to really explore the character without having to resort to some gimmicky expectation of language and violence. If every scene involved him screaming "TAKE THIS F***ERS!" while bathing himself in blood, then that movie is doomed to fail. But if he has some kind of restriction about him, it'll force everyone involved to take more creative choices with how they approach the character, which could really work to his advantage.

Plus, he can still get away with some crude language in a PG-13 movie (I believe you're allowed to use the F word twice in a PG-13 movie, and the other X-Men movies have used some swears with that rating). So, if Deadpool can only survive as an R-rated movie, then I think whoever is making the movie really only knows a very small part of what makes the character tick and is playing towards the cruder elements of who he is, which would be a shame.

Once, and you can't use it as a sexual term. Go **** yourself is a no-no. This situasion is ****ed is okay.
On the set of Armageddon, Willis and Thorton did rock, paper scissors to decide who was going to say it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Limiting language just to get a PG-13... Such a cop out.

Dunno if this has been posted, but...

In his tweet Liefield writes

"Warner Bros. just trying to protect their investment. They don't want Ryan Reynolds playing Deadpool AND Green Lantern. Interesting 2 watch"

This is exactly what I didn't want to happen. :|
