Figures Liefeld posts bad news.
:hehe:

If RR isn't involved then I'm just really unsure about this.

I guess I can't blame WB, but it's not like Reynolds should be recognizable when he takes off his mask anyways.

If that tweet is true then that whole thing Reynolds said about No Rule Playing Deadpool kind of turned on him

I never liked the idea of him playing both characters, but I knew if GL would get really popular DP would kind of be pushed to the side. But its weird that GL hasnt even come out yet and their banking so much on it. Is it official what WB is doing with the GL sequels

they want something to replace HP

i know deadpool will happen reynolds like DP more than GL

It just doesn't make sense that RR would've signed a contract that wouldn't allow him to play Deadpool too... maybe theirs more to it though.

RR might not get to play the role he always wanted to, wouldn't that just suck?

Welp, that ends my intrest in the film. Go ahead Fox, make it as kid friendly as possible! Atleast this time it wasnt YOU who screwed it up! :D

It's WB's fault that Deadpool will be PG-13? No.
Reynolds does have a choice on whether or not to do Deadpool, you know that, right?

It's WB's fault that there wont be a Deadpool movie starring Ryan Reynolds...

And yes, WB can EASILY keep him away from ALL other Superhero movies.

They could just, you know, get a better actor. Or the whole WB wanting Reynolds thing could be a rumor.

Yeah, it could very well be a rumor. I figured it was for awhile, but when Liefield tweeted that, it kinda made me think it could possibly be more true than just a rumor.

Of course, he could've just read the same blog that was posted in here awhile back and thought it was true. Who knows.

It does seem like WB is going to use RR a lot though. They already have him narrating that 75th Anniversary DC DVD.

People need to calm down. Rob is just talking sheeeeeaaaaat. He doesn't know anything. People need to stop with the whole Ryan Reynolds can't play a Marvel and a DC, that's against the laws of nature bullcrap. Deadpool is just another role for Reynolds. It's just another film. So just because he is playing Green Lantern, it means that he won't be able to play in another movie ever again?

I mean pleeeeeeaaaaase. People just need to relax. This is just internet talk.

I don't see what the big deal is either. At first I didn't really want him as Hal Jordan/Green Lantern, for the very reason it could screw up the Deadpool film, but him playing Hal has grown on me. :D

Sadly, I am losing interest in the Deadpool film daily. Even if Reynolds were in it, and it were R, it would probably fail anyway.

I appreciate the intentions, but seriously, they should just wait for Fox to give it back.

After Origins and First Class, they've pretty much exhausted every possible angle to film with. Unless they decide to pull out Gambit, or reboot, they don't have anything left.

They'll keep making them until the end of time. Fox wants the marvel stuff forever.

They gave up Punisher. It's only a matter of time.

Not to mention, Fox would have to keep making those films. But Marvel Studios has Disney to hold on to, while Fox can only keep the rights as long as they are successful.

This is bad for Deadpool AND DC.

If GL fails, it'll screw up any future DC movie plans (Flash, Wonder Woman, Lobo, basically anything that's NOT Batman) & they'll go back in that hole they've been in & only show Batman to the general public.

Perfect plan for GL trilogy would be to have a new human Lantern per movie. Movie 1 would be Hal, movie 2 would be Jon & movie 3 would be Kyle or Guy. Then have another GL movie where all 3 join forces to stop a super threat (Red Lanterns?)

I think other Green Lantern's will be appearing in the first movie, could be wrong, I think I remember reading John Stewart and Guy Gardener were going to appear...

I think Hal will be the main star throughout all the GL movies though.

I'm still interested in Deadpool as long as RR is involved. If they get someone else I definitely won't be that interested in it anymore, I'll still probably go see it, though.

I dont understand the issue. Its not like they can stop Ryan from making movies with other studios, which at the end of the day is exactly what Deadpool is.

I guess it really doesn't make sense. But they probably want him to film GL2 and GL3 back to back, or atleast that's what I've been hearing.
