Deadpool & Wolverine Deadpool & Wolverine News and General Discussion Thread

I love love the image of those two in a regular car. If this has even a hint of the road movie idea Ryan Reynolds had, I'm gonna be so happy.
From all the genres the MCU has done (political thriller, space opera, etc) I've been waiting a long time for the road trip movie version with superheroes.

The reasons for Deadpool & Wolverine being Rated R is as follows: Strong bloody violence and language throughout, gore and sexual references.

I have a t shirt with that circular Deadpool symbol on it. I wanna wear it on the day we go to see it, but I've gained so much weight I wonder if it's still gonna fit me right 😅

Wrong thread, but If they manage to hit the right notes with FF and capture what made the characters so iconic and inspirational in their heyday, I think people will gravitate towards that instantly. It could easily fill the gap of Guardians and be another heavyweight franchise. Families should want go see it. That's why the December would be a great release imo.

I also agree that other then DP & Wolverine, which will be massive, the next predictable success is Venom 3.

I genuinely think FF is Marvel's next big hit after DP, even though I think Brave New World and Thunderbolts will be very successful both critically and financially.

You're doing the right by sharing, but respectfully I will not watch coz I'd rather just enjoy the whole show at the cinema!
I'm at the point that I don't need to watch anything else. I haven't watched the last few commercials they've been dropping.

I watched one tv spot recently and got upset because I laughed at a joke from a new scene. No more spoiling anything at all. Let's just make it to next week..hopefully Twisters will tide me over.

I'm kind of at the same point. I guess I am okay with coming across new TV spots or whatever, but I'm not going out of my way to make sure I get to see every piece of footage of this movie that's out before it's released.

That new trailer did a good job of communicating the emotional stakes of this movie. Definitely makes it feel like it'll be more well-rounded than other trailers let on. I'm even more pumped for this now.

Idk. That seems too good or be true.

I don't know if the general public don't remember the previous FF films anymore and how they didn't perform that well compare to the best Marvel movies at the time. But this new FF film needs to be as great as the best MCU films, to make a huge impact at the box office.

And if FF is coming after D&W, it would benefit a lot but its not. Superman would be a big competition as well...

yes, that's true. the first two trailers were comedy-centric, and this one had more of the seriousness.

however...they still could have done this all without that X-23 reveal tbh. I mean cool I'm hyped and all that, but think about ~three years ago to before NwH came out. Sony & Disney agreed to not show the legacy Spider-Men's faces in the trailers and honestly I think that really paid off.

now I guess one can argue that Dafne Keen's X-23 doesn't have the same legacy and Tobey Maguire's or even Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker, but they've kept her involvement a secret all this time. We could have waited another week to get to have this as a surprise too, while enjoying the movie.

By this time next week, I'll probably have seen D&W at least three times.
