NO SPOILERS. I was glad to get to see the movie in Japan two days earlier than the US. Unlike Spider-Man: No Way Home, when it came out in Japan, it was released THREE effing weeks later. Without thinking about it, I was surfing through Youtube that showed me thumbnails of leaked clips from the film revealing basically every single thing--Charlie Cox's debut as Matt Murdock in the MCU--Aunt May's death--and worst of all, the mother of all spoilers--Tobey MaGuire and Andrew Garfield's appearance...confirmed. I got SPOILED by ALL OF IT. I had to wait 3 weeks to see it. Japan actually chose The Matrix IV over Spider-Man? Huh!

Deadpool and Wolverine--this is a cinematic masterpiece. I can't get over how incredibly fulfilling it was. Cameos were not forced. The story was incredible. Great writing. The fourth-wall breaks continue to be clever and hilarious, this time, topping all of the fourth-wall breakings in the previous films.

This film post-Disney purchase did what Fox was never able to do in the past. I love the first two films, but this one feels like it embraces the comic book world of endless possibilities to the fullest. It embraces the Marvel world, cinematic and comic books.

I couldn't have been more satisfied. 9.5 out of 10. Great performances. If I had to name a few, it would be Hugh, Ryan and Emma Corrin. Loved every character that was in the movie. So many great things about this movie. It doesn't slack. Not a dull moment.

7/10

As far as these cameo-driven multiverse movies go, Deadpool & Wolverine is one of the most entertaining to watch. The fight scenes are excellent, a good portion of the jokes land, and it's all held together by an energetic, fun tone. It is very much a "great gowns, beautiful gowns" type of movie, though. The story isn't anything special, and its attempts at invoking emotion felt more like a side-attraction to all the fun stuff, so it didn't really do much for me in that regard.

Emma Corrin is incredibly good in this as Cassandra Nova. I had no idea they were such a good actor! The portrayal is intimidating and wonderfully campy, and the character has a real knack for violence. This might be one of my favorite MCU villains of all time, the screen presence Corrin has is no joke.

So, ultimately, I'd say Deadpool & Wolverine is a fun summer movie, with all the action and humor anyone could ask for, but very little going for itself story-wise. So many fun surprises in this one, though. I can't wait to hear what everyone thinks about the film. It'll be a big hit, that's for sure.

9/10 A clear win.

Positives
- Its full comedy and the jokes are landing, specially the meta-jokes
- Good fitting into the MCU at all without MCU-knowledge needed
- Acting is awesome as expected: Jackman roasting Deadpool for 2min straight, Emma Corrin proved again what a great actress she is with the scenes she have
- I was sceptical about Deadpools humor in general before the movie, but Reynolds proved me wrong
- Cinematography and fight choreography are well executed
- Nothing to worry about Special Effects this time
- Surprising cameos with two of them
Evans as Johny, Tatum as Gambit
giving me a heart attack

Negatives
- Maybe it could be 5-10min shorter, but the movie is aware of that and uses this as a joke
- Everything around the dog didnt work for me, but Im a cat-person
- Missed opportunity: , I desperatly wanted
Ravonna to show up here since we left her in the void with Allioth. Does that mean she is dead?

Its a hard movie to rate, it has moments of pure gold scattered around a plot which isnt the most compelling or ground breaking but you just wont care by the end because you will be having a blast at all the cameo's, references and just sheer giddy excitement that the two leads bring in seeing them together in a movie together at last by the end you might even have a tear in your eye that the movie itself otherwise didnt really deserve.

Its a very different movie to the first film especially and that might irk some that the original cast are pushed to the back a lot on this one and the tone is a lot less grounded but then what you get in its place at times is everything you would want just as a comic book movie fan and it feels like some moments have been 24 years in the making and do actually pay off.

The two leads make this movie and once they are together and bantering and bickering the muddy plot and nitpicks seem minor just seeing these two guys at last together the way they were meant to be in proper comic book movie suits and just giving it everything, they were both born to play these roles and could easily phone it in but not here they give it everything once again and Ryan lands 90% of his jokes and Hugh brings at least some depth to the overall sillyness of the story and heart.

And oh boy, those cameos and secrets, they really do live up to the hype this time, some completely had me floored, some looked a little wonky but were just good to see in live action, so you certainly want to get and see this before too much leaks out but still seeing some things on screen I thought might never happen while I am alive were a joy to behold. Some are all too brief and you wish lasted longer but others serve a real purpose to the story and get some nice action with a few, there's going to be plenty to discuss on these once the cat is out the bag for everyone but never has the MCU sandbox been played with to such a heartwarming and pleasing level, from now on this is the sort of cross-over and cameo I want to see.

So overall Im probably going to land on an 8 for now as an overall movies itself but with moments that reach a 10 often and dip to a 6 on occasion, its just that sort of movie thats a bit scattergun but in a good way. Mileage will vary for some as often it does with DP's schtick but if you see this with a big crowd and just have fun with it you are in for a treat and wild ride, cant wait to see it again though which is a good sign. DP & Wolverine may not have saved the MCU but they sure have given it a shot in the arm it needed.

Baby, bye, bye, bye...............

This isn't really a review. More like bullet points of what I liked and didn't.

What I liked
-I like Deadpool dancing in the beginning. I think the Nsync song is a reference to X2. I feel like the music in Marvel movies don't match to my taste. But here, we got Avril Lavigne, Fergie and Madonna. Like a Prayer is one of my favorite Madonna songs even though I was just born when that song came out. Also Iris by Goo Goo Dolls reminds me of my 90s childhood.

-Elektra. Blade. Human Torch. I was spoiled that they were gonna appear but not to that extent. Its a good feeling that my next rewatch of the 2000s movies of Blade, Elektra, Daredevil and Fantastic 4, I already know those actors have joined the MCU, playing their original Marvel role. Even if they don't return for Secret Wars, I feel like this is a better closure especially with how this film is performing at the box office and Rotten Tomatoes. I liked how Elektra said, she has a chance to get a better ending and get redemption. Well she did! I'm amazed how they got those 3 playing those characters again after more or less 15 years. I wish Human Torch was part of the third act action, but Chris Evans was already Captain America, and they used him later for the post credits scene. I was happy seeing them.

-All the 20th Century Fox references. I liked how Deadpool, Wolverine and Human Torch were standing in that desert with the Fox logo behind them. The montage of previous Fox movies during the credits was very very nice. I grew up watching those movies and rewatching them again and again. I didn't expect Disney/Marvel Studios to do that especially its been years since the Fox era ended.

-Gambit. I think its just probably me being an X-Men fan. But just seeing Gambit made me wild. There was no nostalgia with Channing Tatum, the accent was awful, the costume wasn't a good fit, but just seeing Gambit in the film was really nice. I remember smiling when he appeared, then he was doing all those action scenes with the cards/stick. I wanted to jump up and down in joy.

-The mutant goons. Iirc Sabretooth, Juggernaut and Toad were the only ones named. The rest like Psylocke, Azazel, Callisto, Deathstrike and Blob, you would need to be familiar with the previous movies or check the credits. I didn't even spot Blob but I saw his name in the credits. Even though there were just background goons, its better than a bunch of unrecognizable goons.

-Pyro. I liked how out of all the villains featured in the 13 Fox-men movies, he was the one they brought back that got several lines. I was surprised when I saw Aaron Stanford's name in the opening credits. After X3, he was forgotten and never used again. So its a bit surreal seeing him in the MCU alongside Ryan and Hugh in most of his scenes.

-Ryan/Hugh were good leads. I'm not a fan of Deadpool and Wolverine in general but they were good leads - charismatic, full of energy and still doing fine in their respective Marvel role many years later. Sometimes I forget how Ryan first appeared in Origins as Wade, then how he was replaced by a stunt man for the third act of that movie and how he never had a fight scene with Hugh in the Fox era. So this is a nice full circle moment for them.

Downsides.
-If you are a fan of the supporting cast of Deadpool1/2, you don't really get much with those characters. Weird how its been six years since Deadpool 2. 2018 sounds like a long time for me personally. 2018 was a good year for me. Colossus just stood there the entire time. I don't know why they brought back Shatterstar if its just gonna be for a party/dinner guest role. Vanessa and Negasonic did nothing. Vanessa just stared at Deadpool's eyes. The only one that got an okay role was Blind Al, especially she interacted with Hugh.

-I don't think there's really an emotional stake. The "world/reality" of Deadpool doesn't look like it is about to end. So when they succeeded saving that reality, I didn't feel anything. I was more curious how it would affect Secret Wars and the Sacred Timeline which weren't even teased in the ending.

-I didn't get much from the Wolverine's world. This newer variant of the Wolverine with the yellow suit. I'm also not sure if he and X-23 now live in Deadpool's world permanently.

-I didn't like Mr. Paradox and Cassandra Nova. I feel like the nostalgia from the returning superheroes really carried the movie and the fun factor that went along with it. I just don't get the motivation of Mr. Paradox and Cassandra Nova. I think they explained their purpose but there was no weight/no depth in their decision making of wanting to destroy countless realities. Mr. Paradox also looked like an everyday guy.

-The Deadpool Corps was my the least favorite thing in the movie. I wish their entire scene was replaced by something else. All the action and blood, only for it to end when Peter showed up. I didn't get the joke there.

8/10. Fun movie. I can't wait to watch it again this weekend!

8/10 for me.

Thought the movie was great and pretty entertaining. It's not perfect, nor is it the MCU messiah movie. But I also don't think it's terrible slop either or an affront to cinema. It's just a fun movie and we had a great time watching it. And this movie just shows (for anyone that has forgotten lol) that Hugh Jackman is great as Wolverine. This could be just my gut feeling but I'm wondering now if Hugh plans on sticking around, even after Secret Wars.

8/10 for me solid good film gets a little bit lost in the third act but it is still entertaining as hell loved all the cameos was surprised by a few good film can’t wait to see where Deadpool goes from here

...first, thank **** we get to see Pattinson's eyes.

Second; What I've just watched is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever seen. At no point in their rambling, incoherent film were they even close to anything that could be considered a rational plot. Everyone in this theater is now dumber for having watched it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I plan on seeing this again before I cement a rating on this movie, but I will say that I don't think this was peak MCU or one of my favorite Phase 4/5 offerings. My top 3 in post Endgame Marvel so far are GOTG3, NWH, and the very divisive L&T. NWH in particular spiritually is striving for what this one is one one hand, but I think NWH had more under the hood. I watched Deadpool 2 the other day, and this was more of the same as that movie essentially. But with a new coat of paint.

Hugh Jackman is great. I don't know how we can go back to PG13 Wolverine, lol! I get the feeling Hugh is just going to be MCU Wolverine now. They joke about him doing this until he is 90, but I think after this makes huge bank that's exactly the plan Feige and co have in mind. But Hugh gives this movie heart it desperately needs. Deadpool by the nature of his character throws out 100 jokes a second, and they have varying degrees of success. It's the Wolverine centric scenes that give this movie some emotional weight.

Cameos are fun. Cassandra Nova is awesome. Action in this one has cool looking sets, but Deadpool 2 definitely had better staged action set pieces.

In the end, first impression is 3.5/5. Maybe a 4 if you're seeing this in a crowded theater that is rabid for the cameos and such. It's a big, dumb Deadpool movie. The 3rd one we have gotten. By now, you know what this is and you're either there for it or not.

Just got out of my screening and I loved this. It’s definitely an 8/10 movie and while I was watching the film it felt like classic MCU and that their on the right track to getting their groove back but let’s see how next years movies go. Definitely in the right direction though. Even though I’m ready for a new Wolverine I have to admit Hugh hasn’t lost a step in the role. The cameos were fun and the jokes pretty much landed for me mostly. I think Ryan actually gave Deadpool some depth slightly and I liked his and Wolvies emotional arcs. Overall a fun time at the theater and bring on that Marvel Hall-H panel Saturday.

This movie was beautifully epic. A love letter to Marvel fans. The "Endgame" of the Fox universe. I was smiling from ear to ear the entire time. 9/10

I give it a good 7.7/10. Hughes abs gave brought it from a 7 to the 7.7 cause....that was HOT.

I enjoyed it but they ran so many jokes into the ground and I wish they showed more restraint.

8/10 for me

Great action scenes, the cameos were all great and satisfying (though my gf was very sad at how the first big cameo was dispatched lol) humor was very good with a lot of big laughs in my theater

Was a little disappointed the DP 1/2 characters didnt get a lot to do aside from peter, who was fantastic and couldve used a few more appearances from TVA related characters. The plot was a little basic and yet somehow convoluted. CGI was a bit wonky in spots but I just take it as they were going for cartoony to some extent.

But this movie will live in my head for weeks. Like a prayer has been stuck in my head since we left the theater and wont go away anytime soon.

Interested to see where it all goes next since DP and Wolvy did not, in fact end up in the 616

A lot of fun yet a "slightly" convoluted "mess".
It's undoubtedly a shot in the arm for a struggling MCU. Thank God for Deadpool who's the perfect character to be thrown into this multiversal mumbo jumbo with a strong assist by Wolverine no less who not only serves as a good foil for Deadpool's antics but also shines brightly on his own right.

The movie is a feast for the eyes for Marvel fans and should be applauded for that. It has some great action, good characters, good music, good humor for the most part, a ton of fun and well executed cameos... It's a blast in many regards but is not without it's flaws. The film's pacing is a bit uneven, the exposition dumps are a chore even though Deadpool does his best to make it somewhat digestable, it gets a bit silly at times, and while the multiversal stuff is best executed in this film it still manages to drag the film down in places.

Overall it's a strong addition to the MCU and well worth seeing it in the big screen with a big crowd. A strong thumbs up from me and it managed to restore some of my lost faith in the MCU. I really hope Marvel can build on this and keep the momentum going. They reeled me back in that's for sure. :)

Rating: 8 out of 10
Up there with SM:NWH as the best movies i've seen post Infinity War.

I give it a B or an 8/10.

I feel at times it may be too inside baseball for the GA , but for long time fans (meaning fans who've watched these films before the MCU existed), it's a treat.

It's very hard to rate this.
As a movie-movie, it might be... thin. But as a Marvel movie, a Wolverine movie and (as it certainly is) a Deadpool movie this is as perfect as it can be. It was the most fun I had in theaters in a long time. Having a ridiculous amount of useless information about Marvel and movies in general has finally paid off.

7 or 8 out of 10 for me. Totally can see why people may not be as into this film as previous Deadpool movies, but man, seeing Hugh back in full glory as Wolverine really made this movie for me. It has enough heart & a good enough story that Jackman & Reynolds could carry. It did drag a tad in spots, but overall... I was entertained, and that's all I wanted from this movie!

I suddenly realized about halfway through the movie that anyone under the age of 25 might not be getting half of the jokes or references or even have a clue who half the people on the screen were, that I was getting super excited about seeing :funny:

I can imagine some might have been a bit confused with the excitement level of the film and why fully grown men and women were crying around them. :hehe:

5/10

Overall, an "entertaining" but also extremely grating experience that I don't think I'll ever revisit.

Regarding the Marvel love, while there's a ton of surprises that put a smile on my face, yes, it loses its lustre immediately when it treats its characters and universe in such a silly way (which is par for the course of a Deadpool movie, I know, but there's a reason I like these characters in their own comic books, with their own storyworlds, etc, not just appearing in sillier Deadpool comics)

For context, the other Deadpool movies aren't really my jam either. I don't find him that funny and violence doesn't impress me even if the action is always solid.

I give it a 7. This is one of those movies that is better as an idea than a real thing. The plot and villain were dull. But no one watched it for that. There were a lot of jokes that didn't land for me and felt forced. I really wish Deadpool would have made a joke about how perfunctory the action scenes felt too.
