Deadpool & Wolverine Deadpool & Wolverine News and General Discussion Thread

Does anyone know for sure the identities of two of the mutants/henchmen at Cassandra's base:

- The bald guy in the black leather trenchcoat who people thought was TV Blade actor Sticky Fingaz

- The burly bearded guy in the red and white top played by Billy Clements and billed as Russian, according to imdb

I find it so fitting that the Fox-verse Starts with an R rated movie with Blade, and ends with an R rated movie with Blade. Full circle.

Blade wasn't a Fox movie though.

So, my record for seeing a single movie in theaters is 17... that was in 2004 for Spider-Man 2. My wife and I want Deadpool & Wolverine to beat that record. I'm already at 6...

Let's F****** go!
Holy **** 17!!! Thats a high record indeed, movies dont tend to even stay in cinemas that long to even attempt that unless your going every day. :funny:

Well good luck with the personal goal anyway :like:

That's a lot

I think my record is 4....

I had my 3rd viewing on Friday. I may have another one in me.. we shall see.

I was planning to watch this for a third time in a cinema, but I realized I'm not really a fan of the Wolverine and Deadpool in general. But for the next Avengers, next Fantastic 4 and next X-Men movie, I'd do more than 2 visits at the cinemas.

I saw TDK 3 times total. Holy craaaap, you got me beat by a lot haha!

This was a damn blast, honestly. Not perfect, but the most fun I've had at the theater this year. Hugh, once again, proved why nobody can replace him. And those cameos, especially one in particular, had my theater going nuts!

Which one was it? Chris Evans, Dafne Keen, Wesley Snipes or Channing Tatum? I liked Jennifer Garner but her Elektra was pretty forgettable.

I finally got around to seeing the film last night. It was a really satisfying watch from start to finish. I've never been much of a Channing Tatum fan—and he does look a bit silly wearing a comic-accurate Gambit costume—but his performance here was a delight. Jackman was great as always, and seeing him finally don the Wolverine cowl gave me chills. It looked surprisingly good, IMO. The cameos by Blade and Human Torch were also pretty cool. Snipes hasn't lost his edge, and Evans can still silence an audience no matter what role he plays. This is easily my favorite Deadpool movie, though I thought Ryan Reynolds was funnier in the first one.

So I have solved one of these. I saw a tweet on my phone from a geek site.

The guy in the trenchcoat is Curtis Small playing a Bullseye variant (from Daredevil, with Bullseye originally played by Colin Farrell in the 2003 Affleck movie). Curtis's version has the same bullseye markings on his forehead.

The bearded guy that is billed as Russian is literally The Russian. The character was in a Punisher movie (played by Kevin Nash in the film, but they changed actors for Deadpool and Wolverine.

Marvel Studios better have Thomas Jane and Nicholas Cage in Secret Wars. I'd also have Eric Bana back as Hulk.

Of all the cameos and such the film had, the biggest shock for me was
mentioning Batman by name.
Like geez, how much did that cost in royalties?

Batman has been mentioned in all three films.

Would mentioning Batman's name as a pop culture reference really cost anything? They didn't use the logo or talk about him being a character in the Marvel universe, they referenced him in a pop culture sort of way. I doubt WBD would sue them over something like that anyway.
