Nothing really. From the Foxverse it's just X-Men characters and Elektra.

When you think about it and say it out loud, it feels so random. But then, it is Deadpool.

"Hey, here's this Deadpool film that's probably a love letter to the Fox X-Men characters and actors.......and Elektra." You'd think either of the Fantastic Four casts would be considered before anyone or anything from the Daredevil and Elektra films.

Reminds me of this Superfriends intro on Family Guy where everyone was turned into one of the heroes...and then there was Meg.

True lol but I think the biggest reason she's in it is because Garner previously worked with Reynolds and Levy on The Adam Project.

They're very clearly saying that Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker will be ripped from a moment in Spider-Man 3 and transported into Deadpool 3.

As for Deadpool saving the MCU, it will take more than 1 film to save the Mcu. They need to cancel/trim down their annual originals coming straight to Disney+. When it comes to future movies, the success of Deadpool wouldn't guarantee that Captain America, Fantastic 4, Thunderbolts and Blade wouldn't flop in 2025. Those need to be good, marketed well and released at the right time. Dumping them all in 2025, is not wise imo. Who knows if Avengers 5 and 6 aren't critical failure, etc.

I agree. Superhero films use to be events that came out only once in a couple of years. They were truly fun to follow, and that made them truly special, regardless if they were terrible or not.

Now it seems one is released every other day, either on film or as a series on Disney +, prime, max, etc etc.

They need to slow their roll, and get back to the basics.

Definitely this.

I don't expect Garner's role to be massive, probably more along the lines of an extended cameo. Elektra and Wolverine have history too.

This cross over makes sense especially with the paparazzi set pic. Even if Ben Affleck doesn't return, Elektra would serve as the representation for those 2 films (Daredevil 2003/Elektra 2005).

I think Fantastic 4 (previous cast) will appear in this film. With Multiverse in play and a new F4 cast set to headline a film neXt year, I don't see why Feige would ignore everyone from the foX F4 films, especially Mbj/Chris Evans managed to join the MCU just few years later after their respective F4 film. Its also an indirect promotion for the F4 reboot even if the reboot features a different cast.

The only cast missing is the New Mutants cast, which was technically a X-Men spin off anyway.

I hope the Super Bowl teaser is true. This is the only mcu film of the year and summer 2024 movie season isn't filled with so many potential blockbusters.

That's exactly why I think it is a perfect title for a Deadpool movie. He hallucinates cartoon characters after all.

They need to capitalise on the box office potential if Wolverine is included in the title, so probably won't be "Deadpool & Friends".

I could see it being both. The actual title of the movie is Deadpool & Wolverine but in various marketing or trailers/commerials, Deadpool will break the 4th walls and attempt to change the title in an effort to try to hog the spotlight. Like he tries to change it to friends with a cheap sign. Or say it's the opposite. Say there's a poster or a title card of a trailer that says Deadpool & Friends but the Friends part gets cut over with Wolverine's claws and replaced with Wolverine.
