December Boys - Daniel Radcliffe's first non-Potter film

Looks like it might be good.

Great to see him branching out of HP, they all need to do that now.

First great choice of a film, a more mature character drama.

Didn't really work for Rupert being out of the HP Universe did it?

I can imagine he`s trying to escape Harry Potter, that might be the role that will always stick with him. When ever he is mentioned in film or acting.

His first non-Potter movie was Tailor of Panama in 2001.

He filmed that before Harry Potter.

It looks like a good movie...he's playing an Aussie too, that sounds interesting.

He's also doing a TV movie in the UK about Rudyard Kipling, and he's possibly repeating his role in Equus on stage in NY next year.

I heard really good things about his performance in Equus--from theater people, not teenage girls who only showed up to see him naked--so I think he's got a decent non-Potter future if he picks the right projects..

Can't wait to see this. Daniel playing an orphan in a coming-of-age story will be a fresh change from...er...playing an orphan in a coming-of-age story?

lol- just kidding. It looks like it'll be pretty good.

If you can't escape typecasting by prancing on a stage in the nude and raping a horse, nothing will work.

Rated PG-13 for Sexual Content, Nudity, Underage Drinking, and Smoking...

WTF when did they abolish the R rating

looks good. Dan's got a good future. Order of the Phoenix proved he's got what it takes.

Well, I've been sitting on the DVD for a while, and finally popped it in tonight and watched it. The movie was fantastic, especially Daniel's performance. It was interesting how he managed to be the lead and the focus of the movie, and yet his character wasn't the main one. Anyway, I'm giving the movie a 9/10.

Anybody else seen this?
