Days of Future Past X-Men: First Class - The Clips' Topic

Ok, two weeks ago I would've said the footage so far, between all of the trailers, tv spots, and clips, have shown us about 15 minutes of the movie.

But as of now, from what I can tell, if pieced all together again, I'd say we're up to a good 30-35 minutes of the movie has now been shown.

I've been avoiding most of the clips, but I just broke down and watched that Banshee one. :(

I think in the featurette you can see Storm (possibly). When Xavier is hooked up to Cerebro we you can see a young black woman with white hair reading a book. Anyone else notice this?

I'll keep popping in here and saying it...
fox needs to chill with the clips, for goodnessake last stand all over again.

why are they so bent on trying to win us over with their clips?

HAHAHA, I know, at this pace they'll probably put the first 30 minutes online to win people over.

Banshee clip is so fun. "I'm going to die!" --push--

:D

^It is! That's an element the previous X-Men films kind of lacked. This film has a good sense of adventure and fun.

I like the mutants who [blackout]join Magneto in the end. His first Brotherhood?[/blackout] I feel so bad for Charles though.

I really love Magneto in this, and the other Banshee clip.
I love his reaction - 'What?' and being admonished by Xavier.
He seems so human, that it's sad to think about what he'll eventually become.

I was never a fan of Magneto in the comics, but the movies have really helped deepen him and made me understand his motives and the tragic childhood that he's had.

I need to stop watching these.

Please FOX, no more clips and behind of scenes new footage, you're ruining the mistery.. if some time ago i was begging for more promotional material, now i want them to stop.. ok cool, a few clips like usually, interviews and some making of, but not almost every set pieces and spoilery footage... i'm losing my ansiety of going to cinema...

I just wanted more posters with several positions and poses (those international character posters are horrible..) so many cool things could have been done!!!!! like putting each character in a known comic book pose...

Stop complaining about them releasing footage. They're marketing the film. Either you choose to watch, or you don't.

I found the featurette really exciting and very spoilery. It was nice having Singer talking quite a bit about the film - it made me reminisce. The snippets of the Cuba battle were insane and was that a [blackout]Storm cameo in Cerebro[/blackout]?! I'm sure I'm two days behind on all of this... but of course it was!

Fox knows the internet casuals (a separate entity from real life casuals) are justifiably indecisive of this movie. So they have to market this film as much as they can, so they can proudly say, "Look, this time it ain't s***".

Practice some self control. Nobody is forcing you to watch these clips.

No one can say they're not promoting this film. Maybe a bit too much given away, but oh well. I think it's called balance.

yeah they are promoting it big time i see a tv spot like 3-4 times a day

the cast has been all over tv

mcavoy was on mtv
Lawrence and kevin bacon were on letterman
the majority of the cast was on the Today show

There's a pretty lengthy special out and about on the net called 35mm 2011.5.28 Xmen first class special that has some pretty amazing stuff in it I've not seen before. I'm not going to link a d/l but it's from a British show called 35mm and it's about 30 min long. Mostly clips from the trailers. and some discussion with the cast. but it does have some not yet seen stuff in it.

Dazzler was the first thing that came to my mind when they showed that blonde girl dancing. And of course that's Storm.

Maybe small hints at who we'll be seeing in sequels.

Or maybe just wishful thinking...

Downloading now. It's 175MB so it'll take about 20 minutes.

I think they need these clips and what not sell this movie. We're not in the time of X-Men 2 anymore. Name alone isn't going to sell the movie after X3 and Wolverine.
